Yeah I would agree with this, basically at this point you're looking more at 2 different sound signature. Topping would have more neutral/linear sound and iFi would be warmer sound.

It's really preference but in general I prefer the more colored sound as oppose to the flat sound. So I'd go with iFi.

Thanks for the help everyone, i've ordered the ifi zen DAC v2 and one day when I'm feeling spendy I can add the ifi zen can 😁

Noir Hybrid's a good one, indeed. Glad you finally got the D9200, btw! Oddly (or maybe not) I'm actually dealing with an inept PostNL experience myself right now....ugh.
OT: If you're expecting a PostNL package in AT, you can also track that package via post.at tracking. Of course there are updates only once the package was transferred to Austrian postal services, but its something at least. Recently had a PostNL package which never had valid tracking information...

You are on track to building a fully balanced, versatile and sweet sounding system 👍

Btw, it does seem I’m officially on the slippery headphone slope…
Congrats! Or commiserations....?! I think I said before, I definitely a ZMF rabbit-hole/worm-hole in your future. 🔮

Thanks, that's helpful. Though on this topic - and off-topic WP900 - don't know how it is in your neck of the woods, but in this part of Vienna, AT are also generally fairly shoddy. Most of the time they don't even both delivering these days...baffling.

I think the problem is that people insist on free shipping with online orders... so shipping services get stripped to the core, leaving the final handler in an impossible situation: too many packets with not enough time. Though my experience is in general rather good with the Austrian postal service, I found my D9200 on my doorstep (OK, not out on the street, but within the building) when it came back from a friend...
But I order much less online these days, trying to keep with local shops. And I cut back on headphones... so I'm really looking forward to try out your WP900 at our meet on April 15th. Made it almost back to topic ;-)

Rest assured free shipping starts and ends at the retailer. The courier charge whatever they need / want to charge.

Offering free transport is a better way of attracting customers then lowering prices. It is easier to resign from free shipping than to raise prices. The same is true for 0% interest rates. The shops would rather pay the interest than lower prices. Again, it is easier to resign from 0% interest than to increase proces.

I don't think that's true in general, and especially not with Amazon and their Amazon Logistics, which is simply very small local 1-person companies they squeeze for the last few EUR... It's a different thing with small online retailers of course, who don't have the weight to make a logistics partner feel some pressure.

But this all aside I still think its worth looking for local shops and only resorting to online as the last option. More specialized goods may be harder to come by when one is not living not in a metropolitan area of course, but interestingly (at least in Europe) High End shops seem to have appeared in unexpected places. Maybe at some time headphones will follow...

Sorry for OT -- we can talk about this problem in more depth, but might want to take it to a more general part of the forum.

This headphone is on my radar now, but I'm curious about fitment. Some photos make the cups look huge, some photos make them look almost like on-ears rather than over-ears.

How would this fit someone with an especially large head and ears?

I have a pretty large head and most headphones I have to use max extension. This headphone also fits at max extension. So I'd say it's about on par with most headphone size.

Ear cup size it's also about on par with most "portable" headphone. Like my ear barely fit into the cup but it fits. Imagine something like V-Moda M100, Audio Technica MSR7B, Sony MDR-1AM2.......etc.

So I would say it fits but if you don't need it to be "portable", I suggest buy headphone in the next size category.

Any more thoughts from others who’ve tried a pure copper cable with the WP900. Just got these cans and testing with Mojo2 and EQ which seems promising otherwise.
