Owning a W3000anv now and looking for a portable addition to my modest collection, thinking about these. I used to have an ESW9 and loved their sound (but don't really know why anymore) but not their comfort, I am really interested in these. Anyone got a clue where I can find these in Europe? (Or any European willing to sell them?)

Hello people. I'm looking to buy the wp900 but I have very little experience with closed back headphones, can someone compare these to the sundaras, ad1000x or hd600?
I want to add a musical at-ish sounding cans to my collection and these are on my budget.
I had the AD1000 (not the X). These are more comfortable (the pads on the AD1000 were thin and my ears touched the grills), with far less brittle highs. More enjoyable, by far. Less in-your-face, more musical, and portable! But the AD1000 is open.
The HD600 is boring compared to just about anything else. That "veil" is quite real.
My son has the Focal Utopias and the Focal Arche, and has owned several ATs plus he's heard all that I owned. He said the WP900 is the best AT he's ever heard and is going to buy one.
These are closed, so be prepared for a different experience.

Nice! sounds just like what I'm expecting, I had to pull the trigger earlier today as they were $500 new in my country for some reason, I've owned several cheaper ATs in the past and I always loved how they presented female voices, so can't go wrong with these.
ATs are always great with female voices. If you like the headphones, you will probably want to get an upgraded cable, and the thread explains the options already discovered. The bag for them is pathetic, but there are hard shell cases available (I might be selling the one I own).
Hello,
directly out of the box they sound pretty good only I’m angry because my LG V40 doesn’t switch to Hi gain with them.
So I have to listen at 65 out of 75 volume. Especially if it’s HI-Res music.
Just got an Impact Audio Cables balanced 6" 4-pin XLR to 4.4mm Pentaconn adapter to match one of the earlier cables I bought from Lindsay. The other cable (Litz) that he built for the WP900 is in the travel bag for the headphones when I'm not at home, using my Sony WM-1A; this adapter is so I can use the matching balanced 4-pin XLR cable for desktop use with my Sony WM-1A when I'm home but away from my desktop, so I don't have to unplug the A2DC connectors to swap cables.
Let me start by saying this is the most comfortable pair of headphones I've tried, which was a concern because huge ears and glasses. The female voices are astonishing while the male are shallow. The carry bag is a bruh moment and the cable is upgradeable.
I'm loving it so far, more than expected and expected a lot.
Hifi-Mode = standard
Aux-Mode = mid gain
50Ohm HIM = high gain.
To force aux just unplug the left connection of your headphone.
To force HIM (high gain) you need a short extension cable and a >50 ohm headphone or an adapter above 50 ohm.
Plug the extension cable with the adapter or >50ohm headphone in the jack, than unplug adapter/headphone from extension cable and connect your preferred headphone to the cable.
