Any idea how long the tubes can last? When replacing does it need matched gains for all 4 or are there 4 dials inside to adjust individually? The manual I found online only shows things we already know intuitively.

I have seen somewhere that 4 matched tubes are required for rolling.

At last it has arrived. FedEx made me nervous yesterday when they marked its status as delivered, but I found nothing on my porch. I had already contacted Drop about the missing package; luckily, it was delivered today.
It sounds great right out of the box. I started a listening session with the Eudeze LCD-XC, and to my ears, it does not sounds bright. I'm very pleased with its balanced and natural sound signature. I wonder how it changes after the burn-in hours.:)

Did the drop item included the original packaging of this amp
Just wondering if getting from drop is the same as getting in retail, packing etc
Thanks

I haven't had the chance to compare the boxes, but I believe they are identical.
Here's what I received from Drop.

Posting here information on the forthcoming Audio-Technica AT-BHA100 & AT-DAC100 amp/dac. Audio-Technica Taiwan now have it listed on their site (full specs in links). Waiting on price, but I'll be keen to place an order.

Edit: more information from AT China here and here. Official launch date seems to be October 8th in Taiwan.

Its a transparent sounding amp with mild upper mid colouration so vocals get a slight uplift AT style. Minnor increase in decay and dynamics adding to the body of body of instruments. Widens soundstage while still preserving relative imaging. Nothing really much to complain about unless you are using it along with the DAC100 in which you can get too much upper mids esp if you are using it along with a upper mids boosted AT headphone like A2000Z.

Imo best paired with non AT headphones to get that AT vocal colouring and certernly not use the paired DAC but with a neutral to warm DAC.

Thank you for sharing your impressions - have you compared the BHA100 against other tube amps? I'm seriously considering these for my ADX5000 =)

Well BHA100 is primarily a solid state amp with tube colouring. You arent really getting that full body body warmess of amps like the dark voice and the feliks elise. It trends more towards the the feliks echo of neutral bright but with the SS advantages of tighter transients.

Personally i really like ADX5000 with BHA100 because it doesnt change the tonality while thickening the images and hilighting details than on a pure SS amp iha-6. Although if you are'nt a detail nut like me i know of a couple of folks that find DX300->BHA100->ADX5000 too intense and would want a smoothed out top end so ymmv.

Great advice :beerchug:

It would be interesting to hear how the BHA100 compares with my existing Xduoo TA-20 (which is also a hybrid tube amp) - I also intend to audition the pure tube Cayin HA-6A =) Will share my findings once I do so!

I managed to audition the Cayin HA6A and AT BHA100 tube amps and as much as I wanted to like the AT in-house pair up, it was a no contest IMO and frankly I don't think it offers much more than my existing Xduoo TA-20. My Audio Technica ADX5000 really soars with the Cayin - the soundstage really opens up holographically and female voices sounds oh so sweet and angelic.
