Audio-GD Master 9

It's a wonderful piece. When it was in another rack for my loudspeaker system, it also was feeding my plasma TV. The picture was unbelievable.

Hmm I just touched the upper front. Do I dare stack it with the reference 9 under? Is there some dirt cheap spacers I am trying jenga blocks now but since my cat will love the heat I probably want something more sturdy :)

I use a 4x4 on the R8HEMK2 at the REG PSU part.

In the summer you will need a 14x14 probably if you stack it. I did try. That was hot but the fan kept it good luke warm at slow RPM

Is there a 12v connector or something for a fan inside? I try rearrange it now with nothing on top and some some 3-4 cm extra space under for the reference 9. Hopefully will be okay. Can open a window behind it as well.

I use my computer, the power cable is routed out the rear, and here I have a fan controller outside the case and a extension cable, because my R8 1 meter away from the computer.

This is just and idea.

If you can get a power supply with switchable settings for voltage value will be best as you can lower/higher the RPM this way

Just need a 4pin FAN socket and wire the cables to the plus/minus

Fan placement is just a learning curve. Not too much but a decent for to keep it luke. You can probably find something smarter, with power button

I rearranged it think it will be acceptable now. Nothing on top and 2,5 cm free under doesnt get that hot.

There is certainly a sisterhood with the audio gd c-2. Not done a direct comparison yet though. Smooth, soft and wide with the one drawback that it can feel a bit hollow. Just like the c-2.

Placebo effect by the bigger case? Easy to fall in the trap of expectations.

Got my master19 today. Shipped with the metal remote thought it was not included? Also got a second internal circuitry for the remote but no casing for it.

No lie it run hot I burn my fingertips if I rest them for more then a few seconds.

I have a USB fan on mine pulling air upward, it dropped the temps drastically. I live in a hot climate. The fan works wonders.

Here is how I have mine:

A downside of a forced air circulation is accumulating dust inside. If doubt, open your old PC, will see.

Is a bottom of the enclosure hotter than a top without a fan? In such case I would rather cool bottom plate where heat is generated. In a cooler climate, increasing space to ~5cm (2") from the base should be sufficient. Like there (borrowed from the post above).

However a wiremesh base works the best and it takes less space. If still to hot, you can install fan on the bottom. There are cooling pads for gaming laptops, a low profile stuff. It will be still effective with reduced voltage, lowering noise.

If you were referring to the Master 19 in the picture, that's mine. They actually do serve a sonic purpose and they actually do make an improvement. They're not cheap.

What do you use for spacers? Ikea is close by so that convenient.

Got them much cheaper when they were not that popular. I wont pay that much for them today.

My R8H2 has no feet. I also plan to use the rest without them.

The cutting board on the link is very thick/heavy. It will absorb and release the energy fast.

However I use this under every feet on the agd.
Get them in black. Pick the thickest possible.

Ikea dont really have a selection in felt pads. Get them om amazon.

If you have a wooden shelf the cuttingbords will look nice. I also use these for DI20HE, DI20 and R1NOS

If you have a good absorbing math underneath I think this will work as great as more expensive options
