does the master 7 hdmi works with standard TV hdmi cable to the OR5/DI-2014?
Yes, both version 1.3 and the latest 1.4 cables work fine.

Looks interesting. Wonder how does it effect the sound? How does it effect the bass texture and detail. I asked Kingwa but just got a link.
Also, what is currently being developed. I don't want to spend $3200 on the HE-7 only to find out that a HE-7+ (or Master 7+) is coming out. Last time I bought a Ref7 and the 7.1 came out shortly.
i wonder how would the hydrabyte x vs or5 comparisons ?
Hi there Dacladder,
This is something worth try experimenting with
Disconnect the M7 VIA USB board connection(since we are using the I2S input and usb is not required).
Somehow this has improved sound quality on my end(more bass depth). It may be due to reduced EMF/RFI Noise/Power draw.
Do let me know what's your result on your end.
I've been away on holiday with only a rental car radio for audio entertainment. But you disconnected the internal USB32 cable at the USB32 board to remove its power and I2S connection? I'll give that a try next time I'm in the M7.
I haven't listened to my system in 6 days but did remove the dithering jumper this morning so now running 1X, -90dB, and PLL bypass. Sounds really good! You are correct - very analog like. Even before removing the dithering jumper I swear I could hear more lower level detail like reverb tails and even tape hiss from older recordings. And this is with speakers versus head cans.
Other mod on my M7 was the use of 3M AB5100S EMI absorber cut and pasted on all semiconductor chips(Altera DSP, PCM1704, Opamps, I2S Receiver chips). So far no problems with heat.
