What you mean too slowly..?I think it's great piece of equipment and can drive almost all headphones on the market.Love the sound.

When fast music sounds like a relax music. When AC/DC sounds like Mark Knopfler.
For example, Hifiman HE-1000 is too slowly for me, and is good only for slowly music (not for dance music).

ok i understand now what you mean..For sure not all the headphones are OK for dance, house music..Usually the base missing that ''fun'' factor which top Hi-end headphones don't have because they want to be as ''neutral as possible''.. Those like he-1000 are great for jazz, clasical music(my opinion).

And after all, could you say that Master 11 is slowly DAC?

I never found master 11 as ''slow''.I think is very revealing and probably a bit on the bright side. But that is the case of all hi-end DACs(my opinion). If you want ''neutrality'' you should go analog-turntable.
I iust bought Kuzma Stabi S,4 point9 arm, benz Glider,ASR Mini Basis Phono and here you get some totaly new experience-(in a good way)

I have a Reference 10.32 (predecessor of Master 11 with same dacs and extremely similar design) modified to receive I2S via HDMI and with the latest firmware V7. I could say that the Ref 32 is certainly not slow with dance/electro. I really like house, trance and psytrance and I never felt that I'm missing a beat. Granted my Focal Utopia are known to be razor sharp and super fast. I listened to HE-1000v2 in that same set up and it was slower but not slow. The v7 firmware is more neutral than my old v5 firmware that was much warmer and slower. And very imoortant note. I listen in NOS mode.

Hi, the most apparent improvements are:

- Transparency
- 3D imaging
- Richer harmonics
- Transients

I have posted some impressions here:
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-electronics-dave.766517/page-662#post-14025463

and here:

Of course, as it typically happens with hi-fi, the price increase rate is not even close to the performance increase, especially considering that the NOS 11 (or MASTER 11) can compete head-to-head with equipment up to two times and more its price ...

But, if you really enjoy that extra 10-20% a high-end component such as the DAVE can provide, it may be worth to save your pennies for it. Only you can decide :) !

Thank you so much Simorag for the info. It seems that at least for you, the step ahead has been clear.

I think I'll remain relaxed in a long, long time with my NOS 11 V2 and the new Mano Intense Streamer I've purchased from Magna-Hifi. I think I'm done for the coming next years.

Enjoy!

I totally agree that the Audio GD NOS 11 V2 can be an endgame for anybody, it is a very solid all-around performer. Combined with the Mano Streamer via I2S should be sweet!

Regarding the Mano... Well I'm a bit deceived since, with a normal use through an Android Tablet it can output through I2S "only" up to 192/24.
I've already talked with them to ask for an upgrade (384KHz) when the new Raspberry comes out. But as you point out, it is very sweet & engaging.

just join the club, it is huge!!!
Always want a good amp/DAC combo cause I hate wires.M11 is always my first choice.
It paired perfectly with my utopia, give it extra soundstage and image.
Also, it paired well with my hd800 and th900.
I know there is something else in the market but I think this is it!
Will not update gears for a while now!
