Agreed. Instead of $1000 on a second DI24, get a PSM156 power conditioner or a Topaz isolation transformer for the entire system- perhaps a bit more- but huge effect...

Topaz model 31 and 32 have .0005 cpacatance- the lowest ever made to my knowlwdge. Not all Topaz models are that low- and this is the critical factor that makes the difference. In balanced mode it supposedly reduces noise by -165dcb (common mode noise).

Yep, I made my own USB cable with no 5V line and it works fine.

Yes. It works for me... But if you want the best usb cable in the world- at ANY cost just get: https://fibbrcable.com/products/alpha-usb-a-b-optical-fiber-digital-audio-cable. Every other USB cabe is a waste of time compared to this- it is so so much better...

Nothing can beat it-- but you do need usb 3.0 output from your PC or streamer for it to work. Get a top of the line Power supply for it as well:
