For the record, i could never call using the Penrose with my Galaxy S9 (sound would "crackle" after a few seconds), upgrading my phone to a Pixel fixed it; i can finally enjoy calling with my Penrose !

I am having a dilemma here ...
*knock on wood* My Penrose X has been working great for the past 7-8 months since I have them. Couple of weeks ago I found out that the Android Audeze HQ app is not showing battery. Likely the reason is that I am still on 0.1.5 firmware, instead of 0.1.12
However since 3 days I notice that the voice notification for low battery comes rather quick. I charged them overnight and had 2 RDR2 sessions for 2-3 hours each. At the end of the second session I got the prompt. I plugged them into my PC and decided to check the battery level on PC - it showed 56%. I thought that maybe the lady in my headphones got confused and decided to check the battery in the morning - it shows 69%. I have not charged them - only plugged in the evening to check the battery and unplugged.
As I said, likely the issue with the battery percentage on Android/Windows is because of the firmware. Should I upgrade? I have read issue with white noise and other things after upgrade. I have 0 sound issues and I really don't want to break it.
On the other hand - the lady wouldn't normally be affected by the software. Which means that for 7-8 months I can now barely get 8 hours. It was never great, but would give me a bit more than that. I have not changed my using habits at all.
The above would apply for charging - regardless of the software, charging should not different from 6 months ago.
Any idea where to look for the issue? And how to diagnose it better. I wrote to support, but quite understandably they told me to upgrade the firmware.

Quick question, why wouldn't you upgrade the firmware?I am having a dilemma here ...

I've no doubt Audeze will help you to support the issue, but that's very difficult to do unless hardware/apps are at their most recent version. Help them to help you.
To accurately check battery percentage, use the mobile Audeze HQ through Bluetooth.

I posted in the IEM subforum but haven't gotten much useful responses...I'm loving the sound of Audeze headphones (which is similar to the ATC monitors response, which are my favorite), so I'm looking at custom IEMs that would get as close to the sound signature of Audeze/ATC as possible. Any ideas?
Does anyone have some good usb C cable recommendations that you don't hear rubbing on your shirt?

Does that work for current app version with 0.1.5 firmware? As I don't see battery percentage in the combination. I used to see it - it worked with older version of the app.To accurately check battery percentage, use the mobile Audeze HQ through Bluetooth.
I installed previous version of the app - 1.0.52. That one shows the battery percentage.

Referring to BT on Android, not on Windows. Penrose must be attached via USB to be read on HQ on Windows, but for more accuracy, check the Android app.Does that work for current app version with 0.1.5 firmware? Yes, BT on Android.
Odd - I updated the older version I just installed and when I ran it, it requested a permission (did not read it, but accepted it) - now it works. I don't remember being asked for permission before, but I might be wrong.
It works now, THANK YOU @Audeze !

How are you guys even using the apps? Is it still inexplicably Android-only? There's 3 different ones in the iPhone app store and literally none of them work...
The IOS HQ app is for IOS only. You must use a Windows/Mac/Android device for Penrose.
Apple treats apps for headphone control as an MFI accessory, and requires certification and a chip to be installed in the dongle. This was not possible for several reasons, so we cannot make a Penrose app for Apple iDevices.

Oooof
Good for them. Sony is a pretty ruthless company based on everything we learned in the ABK trial. I won’t be supporting them due to the way they handle competition.
GGs and good luck.

Kind of sad that Audeze is more known as a gaming headphone company, then for audiophilia.
