Audeze Penrose X and Penrose

I have had a ton of disconnect issues and did the same thing you did and placed the dongle on the top of the CPU case. It seems to have helped quite a bit but it's still susceptible to quite a bit of interference. I have also noticed an issue while enabling spatial sound options like Atmos and DTS: X, They appear to pop and crackle and seem to intermittently drop audio. Windows Sonic appears to work just fine (and stereo) but nothing else. Has anyone else experienced the spatial sound issues?

I am getting the issue with Atmos too, but had no idea Atmos was the root cause of that happening. I am getting a bunch of disconnect drops that reconnect right away on both XSX and bluetooth with my phone

I received my X about a week ago and I can say without a doubt that it's the most uncomfortable pair of headphones I've ever worn in my entire life. I can literally feel it crushing my skull. It makes me feel like my eyes are being squeezed together and the back of my jaw aches after about two minutes. Who the hell would approve of this design if they actually tested the clamp force with multiple heads? It's a design flaw! I'm angry. After waiting for these headphones after each and every awful delay (while holding on to my money for months), I'm so pissed off that this was the product that I received.

I understand if it fits some people well. I understand that people value the sound quality over every other issue this thing has. I understand if the company produces great headsets.

This headset is a complete miss and I hate the fact that they charge for a restock fee. I'm hoping I can get that waived and return these because I truly believe it could be a health hazard. I'm sitting here with a slight headache after my last session. The human skull is not meant to be clamped down with that much force for prolonged periods of time. In my case, that's about 15 minutes before I had to take these off.

Don't exaggerate so much, my friend. Calm down. I just got these ears. It is a very comfortable headset. I did not have a problem

The latest windows version of the app, allows you to save your EQ presets and export/import them. A few pages (dozen ?) back, someone had requested Mobius like presets. We have updated them on our site. if any of you have preferred presets for various games, send it out way and we can post them on the site for others to import.

Any recommended presets for spatial plugins like DTS or Atmos for Headphones on Windows?

For those who've received their Penrose X, has anyone tried it with a PS5 (wirelessly - Bluetooth or dongle) as well as their Series X? :)

I’ve seen a Reddit thread or two with pictures sho
That is very odd, mine is in Taiwan too, but it appears as if it was a short ride from Chek Lap Kok to Taiwan. Judging by the UPS app anyways, it was just sitting in Chek Lap Kok all week with no movement.

My expected delivery does say the 29th - but I definitely will not be getting my hopes up again. Here is my tracking and it not moving at all this week until today.

So mine are now in Anchorage, AK. How about yours? Ok east coast so no idea how much longer

Mine are too. If they were scanned in US by UPS does that mean they are free of any more customs and the delays they cause?

Ordered in UK last week. Came in 2 days.

First impressions
Comfortable (and I have a very big head and ears) but top padding could be more shapely. Clamping is fine. Ears do get a little hot but not issue wearing for several hours
Wireless range is poor (approx 4-5m) but ok provided you are not moving around. I have tried all ps5 usbs. This is a big downgrade from my steelseries 7.
Sound is nice and consistently good across games and music
Bluetooth is so loud over wireless if playing music it makes it kind of useless which is a real shame. I saw that they might address this. Need to test with discord chat. But I cant see how it will work when you cant hear your game well enough.
Very premium feel overall.
Mic is a good improvement over steelseries. Side tone is v.good too.
Looking forward to playing around with eq setting in android app

I have the Penrose X I am just curious as to what I am best selecting for Audio format on the series X. Uncompressed stereo, Atmos, DTS, or windows sonic. I want what is best for FPS games footsteps are important and being able to tell which direction is this known as bi-directional or spatial audio? I forget which.
