Thanks I never new that , and does it revert back to Mic Monitoring after a period of time or/and after you next turn your headset ?
Yes, it will default to the original function after a brief period.

No press, adjust: Mic volume
Single press then scroll: Game/Chat on Xbox only

Man, you've got to be kidding me. I've been pissed about that for forever cause I thought I had to hold it in haha. It would never work right, and now I see why. Well that's really not that big of a deal then. I can easily do that. Thanks! Made my life easier until my Maxwell comes haha.

Maxwell will make it easier to know what function you're in, as there are voice prompts when you press or double press functions, (like going to EQ presets is double press on the volume wheel), and after a brief period, you're hear a sound effect to let you know it's back to the default function (in the example, it would be volume control).

This wasn't possible on Penrose due to very limited memory.

On Maxwell: There's no voice prompt for volume control and game/chat balance, as they are the default wheel functions, and a tone should suffice to notify you you're back to those functions.

I'm going to wait to see when someone gets Xbox one and can ask how it sounds on ps5. I have ps5 but thinking about resale. Seems an odd decision to apply volume optimisation to one device only rather than allowing switchable on say the Xbox dongle.

Are you upgrading to Maxwell? Why, why not? I got both Mobius, Penrose and Penrose X and haven’t made up my mind yet.
Honestly still a bit hurt from the Penrose experience :frowning2:

I might if they offer a discounted upgrade path for early Penrose users who had to love with the technical issues, but at this point it seems like that might not even happen, and I am not sure I am ready to give Audeze additional trust in the gaming space if they are not willing to do a step towards early customers of their gaming line

I've never noticed that sorry.Did you work it out then the game/chat mix?
No it just doesn’t work in any practical or useful sense anyway really,
I had another go earlier this evening and clicking the wheel and scrolling just doesn’t reliably or predictably adjust the chat mix (also there is no audio cue if any sort when clicking the wheel).
I have had the wheel taped over for about a year now and just use the phone app to adjust the Chat/Game mix etc on a cheap Android phone I bought specially for using the Audeze HA app only !

I only use Penrose for multiplayer gaming on PS5, so I don't feel a need to upgrade.
