Audeze Mobius review / impressions

Please email support@audeze.com and we should be able to sort it out for you. This is not an Audeze HQ issue. HQ does not really do anything except send/receive commands to the headphone over USB. This seems like the DSP chipset is getting spurious data. We should be able to do a reset/calibration for it.

What if everyone signs an intent to buy more gel pads? I want another pair as well incase my current ones die, can we get @Audeze to comment on Ear pad options as the current stardard pads are lacking. How many people need to commit for you to do another run? You're even making new product lines which all use this standard and you're now limiting your options... it doesn't make sense. It's not good for user choice at that price scale and I sure as hell don't want to buy earpads every year. Care to let us know? You've been great about everything with this headset over time... so I don't see why earpad options should become an issue (beyond the covid issues of course).

We thought there will be more interest in it as well, but were also surprised that very few people wanted the gel ear-pads. We will do a survey of our existing customers to see if there is interest.

BTW, is there a recommended list of USB A/C and USB C/C for headphones? i found the ones included too stiff and the Corsair Virtuoso ones have pretty poor microphonics.

Also wanted to thank Audeze CS, they solved my issue incredibly fast, best CS experience in a long time.

Whats the difference between "3D of" in 7.1 mode" and "stereo" ?
3D off + 7.1 mode - the headphone still presents a * channel interface to the host. The audio is folded down to 2.0 ITU 775-3 in the headphone and played back as stereo.
In stereo mode, the headphone presents only 2 channels to the host.

The main reason we have both is compatibility. Some hosts cannot handle a USB device with more than 2 channels (eg - PS4, mobile phones etc). So Stereo mode was added for compatibility

That's for the prompt reply!
So if my device supports 7.1, there's no.. downside in using 7.1 in stere by having it in 7.1 with 3D off, right?
I prefer to do that than switching to regular stereo because windows re-connecting an audio device can break things.

I think the fact they are no where to be found now, just took a little longer than you expected. I'm pretty sure that's everything to do with marketing. The pads didn't come out at the same time, your adverts didn't announce the gel pads in your graphics as an extra $$ addon we only saw the stand and case if I recal. People simply didn't know to ask because it wasn't included in the original marketing graphics, so word of mouth etc. Now we cannot find them anywhere, which means people did find the product of value. I'd also survey how many people do have gel pads, how they got them/did they spend extra to get them via 3rd party etc. Thanks @Audeze that's the extra mile I was talking about.
