It's absolutely amazing, both with the 888 and the hp8. I bought Depeche Mode's Violator the day it came out and it has been my favorite album ever since. Enjoy the Silence will be played at my funeral for instance. I know the sonics of the album you might say. The lcd xc nails it. Case closed.

awe yeah!!! Violator is an incredible album. It is a desert island take for me. I have the dvd audio version (24/96k LPCM, 5.1 Dolby / DTS) and the original 1990 recording (not the 2006 remaster). The XC’s bass extension and PRAT is awesome with all DM music.
I love some great reward as well. XC’s are my favourite headphones for electronic music.

Some five or six years ago I would, but these days it's mainly work, gaming became a sort of celebration once every few days.

After living with these for a week, I can honestly say that these cans are incredible. They sound exactly the way music should sound in my opinion. I'm so happy I ordered the X to add to my collection.

I’m very happy for you. Honestly I’ve listened to a ton of different headphones and the XC just grabs me in a way that most headphones just don’t. They have a slam to them that is so realistic and I love how dynamic they are.
The other day I listened to the bladerunner 2029 soundtrack and oh my goodness the slam and control the XC’s have with the bass and other low end detail is very immersive and powerful.
Not many headphones can give you that low end without distorting like hell.

In all seriousness I thought I was down to just buying the LCD-3 and HD-800 and having all the bases covered. I'm subbed to this thread and I feel another wallet-bashing coming on even before the orders dry on these other two
I actually has them rather loud last night, and she could not hear them. Isolation is great with the xc.
