Everyone has their own preferences, but I wouldn't equate cable choices to EQ. By Audeze's own EQ curve, we are talking more than +/- 6 dB for certain frequency ranges. No cable is going to give you anything close to that much of a change.

That doesn't mean you have to EQ either. There are several owners who prefer no EQ. Even Audeze has stated the purpose of their Reveal plugin is to give a similar compensated freq response across all their headphones at a fairly neutral tuning. No EQ means you hear what the specific headphone model sounds like.

@KMann Are the convolution filters used in Roon's Audeze presets available for download, so I can use them directly in another app (say PGGB)?

Right now I just want the LCDi4, but when the LCD-5 presets come out, I'd like to pre-process my main music with PGGB using the new filters.

How do you guys store your i4? Looking at a hard case. Does anyone use Pelican 1020 or 1030 to store their i4s?

Yes, I use a Pelican 1010. Some of those hard, zipper cases for GoPro work as well.

I forgot to add this detail, I use the 1010 without the rubber tray. With the rubber tray, the 1010 might not have enough room for the i4.

I’ve now had a month running iPhone 11 - Mojo 2 - i4, no EQ. A wonderful listening experience.
Experimentation with the Mojo 2 EQ settings shows that this combo can deliver a very wide variety of frequency responses and keep a lot of people very happy. I think it’s a winner.

Own the Audeze LCD i4 since a year and used it always with my AK SP1000 and it sounds sometimes a bit muddy. Now I switched to the Hiby Rs6 and was surprised how god it sounds when I use the MSEB Eq. Anyone else has experience with the Hiby Rs6?
