Nice now everyone will ask for XLR...
It feels so frustrating ordering from a dealer right now, I paid two weeks ago and it supposed to be shipped middle October now is 4 to 8 weeks!! And if I asked for a XLR cable (that I did) probably I will only receive the XLR beacause I didn't order directly from Audeze.
I sold 3 of my headphones for this stupid one. I should cancel my order and move on...
I feel your pain. Ordered day 1 within 2 hours from dealer. I sold my Stellia and Mytek in preparation for this. I didn’t ask for xlr cable because I figured that would delay it longer from dealer.

I’m having to practice patience and in doing so, the craving for something new and not having it, I’m having to live with that and reflect on it. I’m also sitting here with my lcd-4 and going I already love these, why am I looking for more?

I don't really care (with all the respect) I paid for a product that supposed to be in my hands right now and when I paid It said middle October now is probably middle November or even December I PAID ALREADY... I feel bad for dealers that have to deal with Audeze right now and I feel bad for Bloom Audio for cancelling my order, sorry for the rant but is not acceptable for me. Good luck everyone with their order, I'm out!

How? It charged me taxes direct, which why I canceled my Audeze order in the first 5 minutes of site going live.
Not sure, I ordered through PayPal.

Same. Jealous.
Just checked, I used my Arkansas address. I live on the border, sometimes I use Texas sometimes I use AR. But I don't recall having to pay taxes on electronics when I used my Texas address.

Love it when people openly reveal their tax fraud. At least in California, if you're not paying sales tax with your purchase, you're supposed to pay use tax by declaring it on your tax return. But as a coworker once said, it's only illegal if you get caught...
Is this required federally or in Texas? Many places do not charge internet sales tax in Texas if they don’t have physical location here.

I live in a border city, which gives me lots of nice (legal!) tax freedoms. Probably why I never paid internet tax, or had the "use tax" questions pop up on my tax forms.

You are correct.

This audiophile community is the hardest consumer community to satisfy. They are also the most critical and most easily upset by the smallest thing that is not to their liking. They are also ready to condemn anything and everything in general, based on their subjective, one off experiences.

I am part of this audiophile community, but often feel embarrassed reading some comments. Customer service of high-end audiophile manufacturers must be considered as one of the hardest jobs. :)
I dont think audiophiles are any more critical of service and workmanship than any of group of high end buyers of products, sorry

I'm definitely not a tax expert and it's possible that for some of you, this is totally fine. But for me, in California, ordering out of state just means I have to declare it on my state tax return and pay up then, as far as I know I can't legally skip the taxes. Yet many act like it's a discount. For someone ordering outside of California from a business in California, it's likely a different story, since the business is required to charge sales tax regardless of where you live, so if you can order without sales tax from within your state, say, that's the better option.

All I'm saying is... make sure this is actually legal in your case before telling the world, unlike that dude who voiced his anger that a seller didn't reduce the declared value for his international order (not sure which thread that was).

Tax avoidance is a national pastime and its not illegal.
