Hi guys,

Looking for some recommendations. I’m quite happy running the LCD-5 out of the Hugo2 but was wondering if there’s an opportunity to give them a little more juice.

I have limited space and limited funds, so the solution would have to be reasonably affordable (<$2k) and compact (not necessarily portable).

Basically, looking for amps that pair well with the Hugo2, LCD-5 and fit in a smallish space. Thanks!
I would've recommended you to jump onto this Paltauf HPA-100;

But unfortunately it's not universal input.

In your price range, maybe you can score the Laiv HPA2;
There are some listings on US Audio Mart.

Hugo2+2Go -RCA-> Enleum HPA-23RM -> Audeze LCD5

You can stream music directly from Apple Music or Roon.

I am recommending this to you because I think you prefer portable/transportable gear.

I actually have the 2Go. I definitely need to research the Enleum. I have to admit I do like the footprint of transportable gear.

Hello friends, i have a question about the Fit of the LCD 5, im 183 cm tall, and i have a pretty big head, its the clamping force of this headphones strong?
no the clamping force is not strong. I own the headphone. Additionally it is adjustable if you have a long head.

I recently bought a new LCD-5, so I can’t speak for the older ones but the clamp is a little less than moderate. Definitely less clampy than the MM-500 but that one didn’t bother me either.

It definitely has SOME clamping force. But it’s nothing that bothers me. If you want your headphones to feel super light on your head and that’s a big priority for you then you might look to other options. If you’re coming from an HD800s and find those to be the epitome of comfort (which they are for a lot of people) then the LCD-5 would fall short.

However, they are, in my opinion, the most comfortable Audeze and the clamp force does not detract from the general listening experience. YMMV - try before you buy if you can!

Is there any way to make the LCD-5 sound more dynamic and impactful?

Thanks so much to Audeze service. Sent my unit in for repair of the right channel cable socket. They received it on the 18th and it was back in my hands on the 4th repaired and cleaned up. No charge despite the unit being 3.5 years old. Much appreciated.

Anyone know what the email about 04/10 I received earlier today is all about?

One of the reasons i bought the LCD5 was indeed because of the news regarding their stellar customer support. I cannot stretch enough how much of a selling point that is.
