Seems a little bit tricky to replicate in Roon's parameter EQ, wondering has anyone successfully reproduce that curve yet?

Happy to wait for ROON to implement the DSP.
To be honest, I haven't really bothered with DSP within ROON on the most part. Yes, I would love there to be a bit more richness in the mid-range and it is just a tad forward. I've been recommended the DanaCable and that indeed could do the trick. But on the most part, I'm just enjoying the headphones what they are. Flagship planar that are very enjoyable with most (all) genres.
I did have an issue with the pivoting swivel that we were unable to repair in-house at the dealer but that is being dealt with internally.

@KMann Is it ok to request the convolution filter files instead? Will that be as accurate as the original?

Anyone interested in trading their 1/4" LCD 5 cable with my XLR? Please PM me.

Wow, that’s a lot more minimal than I would’ve expected.

True, I saw that and figured it's not even worth the miniscule adjustment. I'll try it when it gets pushed down to Roon. I tried the Crinacle convolution filter EQ and preferred without EQ.Wow, that’s a lot more minimal than I would’ve expected.

My impressions after a couple of days and nights listening to the LCD5....these headphones make me feel like I'm in the middle of the musicians playing. Probably more than anything else I've heard. The imaging is really nice and precise. Everything is more up front than other flagships I've tried but there's still a big-enough stage when called for. No matter how congested or peaky the music gets, its never coming through as harsh. The dynamics are great, drums do sound particularly nice and keyboards, guitars, vocals come through with amazing clarity. I was hoping these would be like an open back Stealth and, in many ways, they are turning out to be that for me. The more I listen on the TT2, the more I am preferring that pairing - but the CMA Fifteen does bring a bit more energy and liveliness to them that I tend to prefer during the day when working. Both have more power on tap than these will ever need. I'm at lower volume levels than the Stealth from the same gear.
The Abyss TC is a totally different tonal experience, bass is ever-present and the soundstage is really big and floaty, but the mids are where I'm finding the magic to be for me, and they are deficient in that region.
The Susvara is also a completely different experience from these. While these feel like you're with the musicians, the Susvara sounds like you're listening to the music from an ideal comfortable seat, further away in the venue.
The Stealth are very similar to the LCD5 in presenting gorgeous mids, tons of detail, with a closer more intimate feel. The bass levels are a bit more elevated on the Stealth, but the feel of the bass on the LCD5 is more impactful and physical. Both have very controlled treble region that prevents ever getting close to sibilance or irritation.

I have the CD here now.I'm not sure how the recordings are labelled, but you do want the original master, not any remastered versions, if any exist. You'll know it when you hear it -- his voice when he breaks out is not muted in any way, like it is in other recordings.
Earlier Mofi probably made this "gain" sticker on it.
This was followed by "gain 2".
Now they probably just call it "original master recording".

My enthusiasm for the LCD-5 is not waning.
Yesterday,
Move D's track "love the one you're with", totally blew me away.
This gigantic absolutely detailed bass, coupled with an overwhelming resolution, transparency, and speed....
Still I can not get out of the amazement.
Again and again I draw comparisons to my former favorite headphones, the Utopia.
The biggest advantage of the Audeze I see in that this plays even at extremely high levels, absolutely clean, while the Utopia relatively quickly began to compress.
Today I am even more of the opinion that people who use an EQ, know their preferred tonality, and still give the LCD-5 away,
are on the ghost hunt.
Anyone who is not happy with the LCD-5 (+EQ), has not yet found the right doctor

Would love to hear a rip of this. I love mfsl remasters. Dark Side of the Moon, Sea Change, Plastic Ono Band, some of the best releases I've heard from a MFSL CD.I have the CD here now.
