Never found a stand that I liked, so mine go back in the box when I'm done. Annoying having to get them out, but maybe it eliminates headband wear/stretching.

Anyone have any idea what the size and model screws are used on the LCD-4 to attach the grills?
I'm looking to replace them with chrome versions but want to ensure I have the correct size and spec.

Anyone else using the Oratory EQ? It made a massive difference to the stock tuning.
I left 12000Hz at 0db as I like that treble extension and 4db instead of 6db gain at 4400Hz.

Is it better than metals? Could you share these?Anyone else using the Oratory EQ? It made a massive difference to the stock tuning.

EqualizerAPO EQ Preset:

Filter 5: ON LS Fc 100 Hz Gain 2 dB
Filter 6: ON PK Fc 1000 Hz Gain -3 dB Q 1.41
Filter 8: ON PK Fc 4500 Hz Gain 4.5 dB Q 1.41
Filter 9: ON PK Fc 6000 Hz Gain -2 dB Q 3
Filter 10: ON PK Fc 11000 Hz Gain -2 dB Q 2
Filter 11: ON HS Fc 10000 Hz Gain -4 dB

Yes I prefer it over Metals EQ but I made the amendments as stated in my previous post. Oratory states a -10db at 12000Hz which just kills the treble clarity and airiness. Is it better than metals? Could you share these?

I used Metal571's for a long time. I've been A/B'ing Metal571's against a profile that was inspired by dfiled. It's purely subtractive, so it doesn't require any preamp change.
LS 70 Hz -1
PK 300 Hz -3 Q1
PK 1k Hz -9 Q1.1
PK 4k Hz +1 Q1.1
HS 10k Hz -7 Q0.8
This profile is a similar shape to Metal571's, but increases the delta between 1k and 4k. I think I prefer it.
Here's Metal571's:
Here's mine:
And here's a smoothed version of defiled's profile that I based it on. I didn't find that the plateau from 2k to 3k made a difference to my ears, but the flattened area between 200h and 1k made a big difference.

Other Topic: Could someone tell what is the best way to fix light scratches of an Audeze Wood Ring?

That's so infuriatingly Audeze. Don't use an omega stand, because you'll flatten the pads!! Also, don't hang them, you'll stretch the suspension strap!Same here, the headband stretches over the time.
Specially if you hang the ‘phones on it for storage.
Did some new holes at the bands mounting part too, and it’s fine again.
Hang it on the rigid part now.

In my experience, all suspension straps are stretchable if hung on too narrow a ledge. Audeze's issue is just that the headband is designed to be very close suspension strap. Any stretch becomes immediately noticeable. That's so infuriatingly Audeze. Don't use an omega stand, because you'll flatten the pads!! Also, don't hang them, you'll stretch the suspension strap!
As for the pads, it is the same reason they insist on glue. The material they use sounds the best in their opinion. Thus. it is a worthy tradeoff. Better seal, better bass, convenience be damned.

Here's how I hang LCDs without any issues at all:

I have owned a LCD-2f, X, 4, and currently a 5. Every one the strap sat flat on my head. Not one had any "suspension" in the suspension headband. So it goes.

My LCD-4 is the same way, I guess because I have it in the lowest possible position. Fortunately, it doesn't bother me at all. Just love these headphones : )I have owned a LCD-2f, X, 4, and currently a 5. Every one the strap sat flat on my head. Not one had any "suspension" in the suspension headband. So it goes.

I will give it a try, thanks for sharing.
Oratory preamp is -9,7 dB, whats your preamp volume?
-13 dB preamp because I add 8.5 dB at 105hz instead of 5.5 dBI will give it a try, thanks for sharing.
