Audeze were making one off LCD 4s so I jumped into the bandwagonWow, I’d do many illegal things for that - the ebony is nice but this is gorgeous. Was this special ordered? Or is this a new option?

Did Audeze make a pad option for the LCD4 ? my local shop recommended going to a different type of pads. Some people locally say they experience improvements without me knowing what kind of improvements.

The official Audeze pads are either lambskin leather or vegan fabric ('microsuede'). I have both and prefer the fabric ones.

For lcd-4? Mine started to peel on the edges a while back and Audeze said that “they” had to do the replacement because they are different than other Audeze headphones due to that special gap that they have and that they are not user replaceable. The official Audeze pads are either lambskin leather or vegan fabric ('microsuede'). Ok it appears I'm way out of date on this subject. Audeze no longer supply the vegan pads for LCD series for some reason. I can see some brown ones still in stock at some dealers but not the black ones that you'll want for the LCD-4.
As for them being not user replaceable that's certainly NOT what Audeze used to say. Using their instructions I nervously peeled off the old pads and stuck on the new ones myself - a little nerve wracking because you're only going to get one shot at alignment, but certainly not difficult.
This is a shame as I prefer both the sound and the feel of the fabric pads.

I got a new set lcd4. But the box has been Opened and retaped 2-3 layers with the audeze tape. It has some fingerprint on the right side chrome grill. And the white gloves has a little dirt on it.
It was shipped from audeze just a few days ago so the pair Should be New.
Do any of you know if the dealers have this audeze paper tape? Or if its exclusive to audeze?

They look awesome, congratulations. If I may ask, how did you become aware of them? through a dealer or Audeze on line sales ?Audeze were making one off LCD 4s so I jumped into the bandwagon

There is also a chip under the clearcoat on the housing, these are brand New. Anyone else has this?
It’s looks like it’s a small inconspicuous area. Either return them or in my case, I would just put a sharpie to it, shine em up and enjoy.
Would some of you bother with posting a picture of the back? Cant find any pictures of the back anywhere on the internet, where the metal touches the Wood.
Would really appreciate it.
