Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones
Dec 2, 2016 at 5:35 AM Post #781 of 7,353
Oh man ... I paired it with the iFi iDSD Micro and tried both , i immediately like the 10 more than the 20 . The 20 seem to sound extremely thin , lacks body , warmth and emotion . The 10s are worth a shot with a narrower , more intimate soundstage , has a nice warmth and emotion to it .

But i am not going to get any because i would be a disturbance to listen in a library . And the noise would be a disturbance to me on the subway .

I cannot find a proper place to use it unless i am confined up in my room

NOOOOOO

There goes my hopes for the iSine 20's being my next cure all pair :////

I have the Sine's right now and am really disappointed, can't imagine the iSine 20's being 10x better than the Sines.

The sound isolation is a huge one as well, can you go into detail about the soundstage? My biggest complaint with the Sines is that there is a MASSIVE lack of any definition in the soundstage.

It honestly was a dissapointment for me . Their LCD 2 , LCD 3 & LCD X were great . Who in the world said they sounded like LCD X ...

I'm not sure if this has been asked and responded to before since I joined the discussion only recently:

Can Audeze comment on how the isine is supposed to be worn? Like a earbuds or an iem?

I asked cos I tried to wear it like an iem and couldn't get a good seal.

Any info on when we can expect shipment?

Am I correct that the product is complete, but you're waiting on MFI approval from Apple?

Thanks , order cancelled
Might be a plan to sort the paperwork a little earlier in the release next time

It's not so easy as you think. I went through MFi process in my previous job and you can have everything finished and prepared in advance but then suddenly new version of MFi spec comes and you have to adapt to it. And if you want to sell stuff officially compatible, you simply have to accept it :frowning2:

This is exactly what happened. The new spec came out and we had to update the design and make changes to existing tooling.

And change of tooling is one of more expensive a lenghty change. So if it shifts final design for 1 month, add at least month for MFi stuff. I believe Audeze guys were working pretty hard to make the needed change in time but there are some things they are not able to speed up even by night shifts.

I agree the delay is not the fault of Audeze .
However the decision to announce in September and make statements like
Post # 19
"The new headphones ship in October ....."
was down to Audeze .
Continuing to announce ship by dates when said date is being controlled by a third party is unprofessional and only serves to erode confidence in the company .
Difficulties in dealing with Apple need not be visited on the customer .

Agreed. We will be more careful in future. Based on our previous cable, we expected a quick turnaround, but unfortunately we did not expect the change.

while we're at it, what other sort of tips fit on them? I'm guessing there's some sort of standard for tips that makes them all interchangeable?

Hi Audeze, do you happen to have an answer for us regarding the above two questions? Thanks.
