I have been asking this for weeks now and Audeze will not come through

Untrue, Audeze removed it from the published price list until CES which may have confused B&H; the i3 will ship in January. 

How about an idea on the EL-8 2.0 that was supposedly shown at the New York show a couple of days ago? You have any news or pics on those?

I doubt we'll see anything before CES. That's when Audeze has said they'll be launching the LCD-i3.

Yes. But our MFI approval has delayed the shipping. We have started assembly of the headphones, but have to wait till MFI approval before shipping units.

I thought there's going to be a version without the lightning cable? That shouldn't be affected by MFI...

Sounds like it. Apple are notorious for doing this. Hang in there. It might get approved this year

No. MFI approval has to be done for every SKU and model. We have already done this for Sine and EL8. But they have recently changed some specification. So they have asked us to include these in the iSine model.                                                                                                                                                                                The typical approval takes time.

Usually takes a few weeks. But thanks giving and holidays complicate the schedule. It is a minor change, so we are expecting to do it quicker. 
In the meantime we are assembling everything else and keeping them ready.

i am curious what sort of material is the case made of pls?  if it's plastic, it seems highly likely that the wire case will just break easy even with minute pressure.
 
hope that the black colour is not paint, but something like PVD.  hope won't chip like the sine i have bought.  chipped in 24 hours without any bumping or harsh treatment.

Why does the MFI certification delay the non-lightning version? Is it still a plan to release iSine's without lightning cable?
