Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

No. The phones on release will only have a Lightning and 3.5mm options. The reason for adding the android logos is, many people outside Headfi, assume it will not work without an iphone.  USB options will be available later next year.

Quote:
Overall, there will probably be three different SKUs for sale. Base, Base +Lightning Cipher, Base + USB-C (micro?) Cipher(?). Base includes the standard 3.5mm cable.

Why would anybody assume a 3.5 mm plug won't work with Android?  That makes no sense and seems to cause false assumptions.  Adding the Android logo makes people think you are making an Andorid specific cable which is not what you are doing right now.  This is very confusing and could become a heated discussion around the aduio community.  I would suggest removing the Android logo until you are closer to releasing and Android specific cable.

It was added by our marketing dept after looking at the tonnes of emails from people who assumed our headphones only work with Apple devices. Headfi users are generally more aware of these than the regular users out there. We will collect the all feedback and review it if necesary

It would be more clear and easy to understand if you just said "Compatible with Android."  Instead of using the Android logo.  It implies there is a version of the Isine specifically for Android.

Will certainly consider revising it. For the iSine10 and 20 the housing is PVD coated Plastic

Wouldn't the web shape of the backside of the earphones made in plastic be susceptible to breaking?  Is there a reason you didn't use metal for that part?

could pass just because of the plastic housing.  no matter it's "ABS" or what, such design means that it has to babied, even slightest pressure would break it.

i personally would rather be charged more for quality, than compromise.

Agreed, sadly.  This product is not for me unless some serious changes are made including more isolation from the outside world.

No, it does not have to be babied. The structures are quite strong. Even though the headphone looks big in pictures, it is a fairly small part and is fairly complex.  We have put in a lot of effort to make it light and comfortable to wear.

I for one still do not feel convinced that these are for me.  They don't isolate sound well and I am not saying shoddy build, but I am saying I am concerned to spend that much money on these with the material on the back that is being discussed

I hope it sounds like a portable LCD 4, but I doubt it.  That is what the ILCD 3 IEM to be released early part of next year is for according to earlier posts in the thread if memory serves me correct.  Lack of isolation is another deal breaker for me.

I heard that the sound is more like a portable lcd x. Don't knock it until you try it. I for one am getting the isine 20.
