Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Just lay them on top of each other to be sure. The larger ear hooks are slightly rubberised (matt finish) compared to the smaller black ones which are very glossy plastic

I would lay them out if I was at home right now. But right now, the ones that came with the Apple model were not rubber, so I assume they are the same size.

Edit: they are indeed the same size.

That explains. Apple edition doesnt have the Large rubberized ear hooks.

Will Noble Audio iems cable work with Audeze isine?. They both take 0.78mm 2 pin. Can someone Clarify?. Thanks

Do they have the vertical notch?

Pulled a pic from massdrop.

I too use a DIY coupler for IEM measurements. It differs from @crinacle's setup but shares some of it's shortcomings. With my setup the iSine 20 shows a similar 1.5 kHz peak which I think is not representative of the real world frequency response, especially as Innerfidelity's measurements don't show such a feature. So I newer published my iSine 20 measurement.

@KMann: It would be very helpful if Audeze could provide measurements of the i-series to clear things up. I assume you guys use nice IEC 60318-4 compliant gear, that would provide a much better reliability than our DIY setups do. Also, a reliable measurement will help many people with their EQ-experiments.

It may not be the real world representation of the final sound. It does vary anyway from 1 guy to the next. But using the same setup to compare headphones is good enough as long as every parameters is made constant.

Our measurements are a similar to Innerfidelity's

Updated EQ Settings. Treble is heavily modified this time, attempted to move away from the metallic treble.

I'm still having trouble with reducing resonance with flute instruments while maintaining vocal clarity. The second problem I'm having is trying to add breathy vocals.

Feedback is appreciated!

Preamp: -7 dB
Filter: ON LS Fc 120 Hz Gain 3 dB
Filter: ON PK Fc 600 Hz Gain -2 dB Q 1.5
Filter: ON PK Fc 950 Hz Gain -3 dB Q 1
Filter: ON PK Fc 1150 Hz Gain -6 dB Q 8
Filter: ON PK Fc 1400 Hz Gain -3 dB Q 6
Filter: ON PK Fc 1600 Hz Gain -5 dB Q 7
Filter: ON PK Fc 4200 Hz Gain 7 dB Q 1
Filter: ON PK Fc 4500 Hz Gain -3 dB Q 20
Filter: ON PK Fc 5700 Hz Gain 2 dB Q 5
Filter: ON PK Fc 7000 Hz Gain -5 dB Q 3
Filter: ON PK Fc 10000 Hz Gain -5 dB Q 10
Filter: ON PK Fc 12500 Hz Gain -10 dB Q 20
Filter: ON PK Fc 14000 Hz Gain -8 dB Q 20
Filter: ON PK Fc 20000 Hz Gain 5 dB Q 2.6844

Edit: Nevermind, It's too early for this, but I remembered 1600hz is responsible for the airy vocals, I just have to remove 2700hz and modify the Q value for the 1600hz since 3 is too invasive...

Edit 2: Success! Now to modify some values... somewhere... to reduce fatigue... without reducing clarity... again. haha. This would be easier if I could measure the isine 20's everytime I made changes.

Are you familiar with REW? You could load the FR, type in your EQ settings an REW will show you the outcome.
Hi!
Thanks for the reply, I'm aware of REW, I've considered it. I just wish I had the numbers for compensation values... and the equipment to measure the iSine 20's. Equalizer APO does have a preview of the frequency response in the analysis panel though.

Thank you for the info.

Could you inform me how to eq isine 20 by using parametric equilizer for usb audio player pro?

Thanks a lot

Some more EQ options
Since I see a number of Head-fiers using the EQ I posted and also saw some feedback on the EQ, I am happy to post two more variations that go easy near 4k. I would be happy to hear feed-back form you and we can even push the EQ to Cipher at a later point.

Here are two variants (V1, V2) and finally the original I had published earlier.
