300b tubes though. So expensive!

Big-time tube amps are a lot like yachts: if you complain about the cost, strap on scuba tanks 'cause you (and the boat) are sinking fast.

FYI, I don't speak from experience (not recent experience, anyway). I'm way too cheap for these amps!

What the consensus on pairing the Eikon with the Jotenheim? I had a Jot for 15 days and I was a murder machine with my Beyer 1990's but those headphones have since been sold and the Eikon is the replacement. I have a iFi iTube 2 buffer that I'm adding as well which should help a tad with the staging issues of the Jot.

Just wanted to make a quick note, our CNC processor found out that a batch of our wood we sent them was bad and cracking, so we had to buy new wood and have it processed causing a short delay on padauk. What does this mean for everyone? Just that we are finishing the last of our cherry sets that we have in stock, and we will have all woods back in stock next week to fulfill much more than just what has been ordered. So if you are near or at the top of the waitlist and waiting on padauk, it won't be much longer.

I have slightly assimetrical ears so I tend to adjust the headphones on my head from time to time lol
With the Ori it was a bit bothersome on hot days, with the Eikon it's better. Just a small little adjusting from time to time. How do you guys cope with the new dynamics fit? I'm thinking of trying the Mr Speakers Electrostat pads as they have a larger hole but want your opinion first. I also have the Ori pads and I'll be trying those too :)

EDIT: ok a little headband bending and pad rotating made things more confortable. No need to put the Ori pads or get new ones :)

I noticed my left channel of the Eikon had no sound though the XLR cable. When I switched the cable connections (red cable to left and black to right) on the headphone, it was the right side that had no sound. That shows it is not the headphone. I tried the 1/4" jack and both channels play.

That means it is either the XLR output on the Milo or the XLR cable I received with my headphones. Without another XLR cable or another amp, I have no way to check. Any way to check with a continuity meter to determine which one is the problem? I am hoping it is the cable.

You could check with a multi meter on the 1 and 3 pins of both mini XLR connectors. I can just send you a new cable though no probs, email me and I'll get it out.

Thanks Zach for the new cable. It works perfectly, so it proves that the original cable was bad for whatever reason. Glad it was the cable.

I really enjoy your youtube channel. Having owned both schiit amps, this comparison has me excited.
