I love sub-bass frequencies. It really gives music that thump and atmosfere often missing on most headphones.
I don't like to EQ the Omni as the thump and texture of the bass is enough. I just wish it went a bit lower and if the Eikon is that plus more..me want but can't afford for now

@grizzlybeast On the Eikon; can you que of some jazz with a solid double bass as a backbone and see how much it encroaches the other instruments? Say maybe a quartet?

Also can you check to see if full blown orchestra music has encroachment as well? Try this RR cd on the final track (should be on Tidal)

Yeah - I highly prefer them out of my Decware CSP III which is OTL.  The Cavalli Lau and MicroZotl sound fantastic too, but like other 300 ohm headphones they sing with OTL amps.  I'll probably have to get a Valhalla 2 now.

So you suspect Valhalla 2 to pair better than Cavalli Lau or MicroZotl?

Been pondering getting a Valhalla 2 as well, been on the hunt for a black one for the longest time but it's practically impossible to find one in Europe - not just for the Atticus/Eikon but in general, I already have a WA7 and a Pathos Aurium both of which are hybrids and far more expensive than the V2 but I love Schiit's products and have no problem seeing it perform beautifully with Zach's new headphones. I have a Jotunheim as well which I'm hoping does well with them too but I really should just give up on the black chassis V2 and get one already.

Oh - sorry, I was just saying now that I'm making dynamic 300 ohm headphones it makes me want a Valhalla 2, I actually have never heard one, but the Eikon and Atticus (especially) really like OTL tube amps.

  how promising are the bass on the both models, when EQed, will both have a good amount, and quality, compared to a lot of good bass 50mm drivers?

They both can be Eq'd ofcourse.      Both headphone are different versions of the musical and detailed sound that I am after in all the headphones we make.
 
 

Would the EIKON wth cherry cups be a good match with a Schitt mumby & magni 2 uber?

Or my portable Questyle QP1R

Mostly rock & blues ... guitar orientated?

 
Both those amps will play them great, I don't own either but I love the Magni for the Omni, I have no doubt it'll sound good with these.
 
@moedawg140 used his Questyle to listen to the Eikon at RMAF, I think he liked the match quite a bit!  He will be getting these to review as well.
