Hey Plonter, how are you liking your new m50? Do they compare favorably to your HD650 and D5000?

I like them very much, they are my favourite right now.  they are more balanced sounding than the D5000. I like them better than the HD650 but i am not a good example for a sennheiser lover

i clamped mine around the sides of a BX5a speaker and had it looping Deadmau5 - Ghosts N Stuff, Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower, Hybrid - Finished Symphony, and BT - Madskillz for about a week when I was out of town. Burns the headphones in and also stretches the headband a bit so it doesn't hurt my head.

Do yall find the m50 to be comfortable? im still trying to find the best adjustment but my head starts to hurt after a short amount of time of use :frowning2:

Actually... yes. very much so. Not DT880 comfortable (like slippers!), but no issues after long sessions.

SRH-840... now that is what I call uncomfortable! Heavy and no padding. Ugh.

Oh, forgot: No apparent / obvious changes after 'break-in'. Great when I got them, great now.

i read somewheree that microwaving your hp's for a 30 secs is equalvalent to hundreds of burn in hours....HAHA.

Still prefer the "safer" method, if you get me.

My atrios,ie8,m50,esw9,dt231,hd650 all went thru burn in. I just continously play music at nite while i was in slumberland

Mine were tight for the first couple weeks and gave me headaches. They stretched out and I wear mine for more then 8 hours a day with no problems now. The way mine sound has also changed several times over the last couple months. I bought mine as a Xmas gift and I am still loving them.

I used regular kettle and my MS1 now look like JH13! I think so they sound, but I'll have to boil them again, since they're too big to insert them.

Used the popcorn setting.
The bass greatly improved on my M50. More buttery...
