Below the price is a link that leads to a price match opportunity. When you get to that link fill out the correct information for them to price match this website (make sure you put that their shipping is $0: http://www.byay.net/audio-technica-headphones-p-291.html in an hour or 2 they will send you an email saying that the best they can do is $99.75 with free shipping. Zzounds is an excellent website. I get all of my guitar and music equipment from this site and they have some of the best customer service ever, I could not believe how fast I got a price match email and that I got a pair of $160 dollar headphones for $100 with free shipping and Audio Technica warrenty. Enjoy the savings!

EDIT: By the way, if you go down below where the pricing is on that eBay item you can see that it says:

New other (see details): A new, unused item with absolutely no signs of wear. The item may be missing the original packaging, or in the original packaging but not sealed. The item may be a factory second or a new, unused item with defects. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections.

An actual brand new item would say this:

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag. See the seller's listing for full details.

Just thought I would share some friendly information about eBay so others don't make the same mistake my father did

Ebay is always a mixed bag especially with headphones that tend to be popular. I'd say AT falls into that category. However, I've noticed that the copies tend to be the consumer 'flashy' ones, the in-ear varieties and the portables such as the ES7 etc. The M50 are more studio monitor use, so probably not copied yet *that I know of*. That being said, the M50's seem to be sitting at that price range now. I was considering them a while ago, at the $150+ bracket, now that the price has gone down, they seem to be a good buy for a closed HP.

Zzsounds is a reputable seller, and would go for it if you can price-match. If not, B&H are also very reputable and you can get them for ~$110 shipped, either coiled or straight cord:

I have nothing but bad experiences with ebay, unless they say they are an authorized seller and you can verify it.  You can't just eliminate sellers from China either, because that doesn't fix the problem.  A lot of times, you'll get people that got suckered into buying fakes and then reselling their fake crap in America.  Advice:

1. if ebay, buy only from an authorized seller; or
2. buy headphones from smaller companies that you know for sure aren't being counterfeited.  (e.g., Beyerdynamic)
