Wow, I'd just been thinking about picking up an SR25. Been real impressed with the PEE51 I got a few months ago. This sounds interesting, I wonder how the retail price will compare.

I grabbed a used " like new" SR 25 for $ 250! Should be here next week,,,,I keep thinking it is a SR 15 and the retailer messed up.
It is from from Amazon so I can return it if need be---

The new SR 25 mk2 is 749(--add a leather case and tax and u are looking at close to $ 900 usd.

As long as you do not have problems with wifi, it will be an excellent purchase! Very good price indeed.
As to the new features of the m2, personally the one I miss in my SR25 is the Bluetooth receiver. I use that sometimes with my AppleTV4K with my Sony nwa55L that has a Bluetooth receiver function and it is truly nice when the cable connection is not possible. So that it is a good addition of the m2.
The wireless drop function is very useful, but you can also do the same with the Foobar2000 app in the present AK25.

When are they ever going to run out of, paraphrasing here, "now with even more detail than the previous SR25...". How much more f*ing detail is there to pull out of a recording? I really like my SR25, and will keep liking it for years to come.

Yes, I was excited until I looked at the wifi and bluetooth specs which are unchanged... How can a "new" device have such ancient specs. Bluetooth 4 and 2.4 GHz N only wifi?

Not sure at the moment. ReplayGain was just added to the SE180 in this week's firmware update to add support for the upcoming SEM3 module, so it is likely to come to other players in future firmware updates. As I do not have a definite confirmation, I cannot say for sure it will happen or when. I will share more info when I receive it.
