Can anyone compare the SE100 to Mojo in more detail?

I love AK Connect which allows me to integrate into hifi and control via phone /tablet.

Ah... This is how I envision using the SE100. By any chance do you have any comments about how it compares to traditional DACs? Of any price range... Anyway, AK Connect offers just enough flexibility that I need, for lazy days...

I don’t consider any A&K DAP to compare with Chord DACs which raise the level somewhat. Mine will be connected to a Hugo II in my hifi system. But will be a nice standalone player also when used in that way.

SP1000 has the price of my Naim Nova dap and the difference is HUUUUUGE!
When i listen focal clear(1.500k) with SP1000 i just love the sound and when i go out with SP1000 paired with kaiser encore (in fact, with any super hi end iem blablabla) i feel sad that i have so much sound left home and those iems cost same or twice more.
What can u say?! Its just hi fi they can make to go out with, and the prices are really insane since they not close to less costing home hi fi equipment.

I really like the interface but the price jump is high for the AK, unless the SQ improvements is there to back it up.

The SQ is especially very good when listening to solo singing tracks. Sounded a bit convoluted when there are many instruments playing at same time. Bought WM1Z instead.

For anyone using an SE100 or any other AK DAP with a Mac and who'd like to be able to sync it with itunes including playlists, then i can confirm the Dapper App works.

I've not found another app our there that does this so its easily worth the £19 price tag for almost making DAP file management bearable

Seems strange to me that one would compare a $500 product to a $1700 product in terms of buying decision. Especially as you also have 2 AK units priced between the R6 and the SE100.

I am having an issue mentioned by a Head fi reviewer with this DAP.

The EQ adjust seem to do virtually nothing at all. I mean +6dB at 60Hz on EX1000 doing nothing. Other IEM are reflecting same issue across eq band.

If anyone from A&K can address this it would be great. Who is the rep? The Ultima has been said to have same issue.

Nope, it is not strange.

Others have compared briefly to DX200 which is also a lot cheaper.

AK has always has a special tax to it, it is a luxury product both in sound, build and software.

Other products from China mostly care about the sound. And not so much with the software and the build.

I know that an excellent UI/UX designer alone is very expensive to hire, which is why AK is expensive.

So, no it is not weird if we are only talking about the sound quality.

The only issues i have with A&K dap (sp1000 and se100) poor bluetooth and wifi connection. I use sp1000 in my car and if u walk away 1m it just loses my car. Same with wifi. My phone has 80% wifi, sp1000 0%. And the menue could be a little faster with less lags. I use 30% of internal storage and that already effecting the speed. This are maybe small cons but at this price the device should be fast with greate wifi and bluetooth. This technologies are old enough.

The casing that AK product use, for shielding, oddly enough are used to counter for such interference. This is why I find Wifi/BT in such product a little contradictory.
