I hear tight, deep, rich sound, clear highs, lush mids, textured bass with my se100. But then again, I'm listening via Westone W80, and not Noble Kaiser. I think that's a key difference.

Did some critical listening with my AK T8iE MkII IEM's on my SE100.

Compared identical DSF (2.8MHZ/64fs) and FLAC (24bit/88.2kHz)tracks. The DSF tracks were a few dB louder, but otherwise the sound seemed identical to me. The tracks compared were Dave Brubeck and Miles Davis Jazz; Alison Krauss, Diana Krall, and Tierney Sutton Female vocals; and Dire Straits Rock.

Also compared Balanced and Unbalanced output. To my ears the Unbalanced was a few dB louder and sounded more detailed, had better bass and had a wider sound stage. I used the same tracks for this comparison that I used for the DSF to FLAC comparison.

Congrats bro! Sick device! I find AK menu so intuitive yet they have some idiotic mistakes! Hopefully this things do get fixed by upgrade i guess since is a software issue.

I purchased directly from AK. It took about a day to ship it. I paid for two day shipping and it arrived on time in Texas based on the actual shipment date.

It doesnt but they're promising a firmware update by september that will enable it tidal offline.... or at least that was the company line at CanJam london
