when browsing through folders, there are times where it won't show my memory card, won't play songs, won't show the correct title (sometimes it would say unknown file rather than a name), and the only remedy so far is to turn off, then on again.

there are also times where it would open and exit through folders quickly, and other times there is a long delay. other times it just won't load, and would show a blank screen after I hit "folders"

the card was formatted in the device at first, file transfers are done through USB-c, factory reset didnt change anything

is there anything else I can do? reinstall the firmware maybe? idk how to do it

did you try a manual media scan? It sounds like the database didn't build correctly. Could possibly be a corrupt file on the microSD card. Try the manual scan first - Settings ->System Reset -> Initialize media scan. If you have playlists set up, make sure clear playlists box is unchecked. It can take up to 15 minutes to fully scan and index all files in internal memory and on the card.

I am not using playlists, i am playing mainly through folders where i group my music into their own folder ( i do this because i rotate the sd card between another DAP, where i cannot migrate playlists)

Right now I am transferring my music so i can reformat the card. is there any way i can scan all my mp3 and flac for any corrupt files?

Try using MP3 Tag or something similar and check what windows explorer reports as the codec vs what Mp3Tag does.

I had some 320 kbps MP3 rips where codec information did not show up in Mp3Tag despite Windows Explorer reporting it as MPeg Layer III.

My SE100 when playing on bluetooth today, suddenly turned itself off. I long pressed (>7secs) the power button as the manual suggested, but the device won't turn back on again. Does anyone have similar experiences or should I just ship it back for warranty repair?

going to get a new item first, the Anole VX, then as for dap I plan to get a bang for buck chifi one (probably Zishan DSD Pro) and then a TOTL (still can't decide between sp1000, wm1z, and n8)

No plans at this time. Apple Music requires a valid Google Play Store install and Google Play Services for authentication purposes. Since AK players do not have Google Play Store, apps that require this, such as Apple Music, YouTube Music, Google Pay Music will not work. If Apple Music removes this requirement, which most other streaming services do not have, we will support it.

I'm not a fan of Cayin after trying N6, it did not compare favourably to other daps I had in the same price range. I have tried Zishan DSD, it is just ok, I would not bother with the Pro. I've had many Chinese daps from ibasso, fiio, cayin, and I feel they are a step behind the top Japanese and Korean daps. l would definitely look at the WM1Z and SP1000.
