What happened to JasonNYC? on vacay??
Sorry, been a few crazy weeks with the holidays and personal family stuff. Was in Vegas for CES all last week. Today is my first full day back in the office. I'm slowing going through stuff I missed and PMs. I believe I did answer most of the PMs over the last few weeks, but please feel free to PM me again if I missed you.

New firmware for the SP2000 will be released tomorrow morning Korea time (1/15), late night tonight in the US/EU, that will add the collapsible menus for artists and genres and feature a number of bug fixes including the fix for the skipping of multiple tracks when using the physical buttons in apps.

Will the SP1000(M) also receive the fix that addresses skipping multiple tracks when using the physical buttons in apps? As far as I know those players have the same issue.

I believe that fix was implemented in the December firmware update (v. 1.41 for SP1000/M). I did see some posts on the SP1000 thread that people were not experiencing the issue anymore.

The release notes for that particular update don't state that the issue was fixed. It might still have been fixed with that update, but just wasn't mentioned in the release notes. That is why I asked, as I couldn't find any acknowledgement that the bug was fixed.

Nice to have you back, Jason. Everybody needs time off from routine... I could use a mental health day right about now myself.

Agreed. I've asked many times that they list out some of the major fixes, if not on the device itself, then on the website. The December 2019 SP1000/SP1000M/SE100 updates also fix the issue with Amazon Music not playing back any tracks on octa-core processors. The SP2000 was fixed in a previous update. There is still the bug where Amazon Music defaults to 24/48 playback, but that is an Amazon Music App issue.

@JayssonNYC

hello I was not aware that you could add apps such as Amazon Music to the player

I found this on Moon Audio.

Is this the recommended procedure for adding apps such as Amazon Music? is there a current list of apps on AK's website or a procedure for adding apps on AK's website? Don't want to break my player by "side loading". Any information would be appreciated
