I think it takes time for me to appreciate the differences in sound.
Even 1-hour listening experience does nothing for me, it takes me weeks to fall in love and appreciate sound quality/signature differences.
I have no doubt I will love SP2000 and the Sound Quality difference will become more and more apparent the more I listen to it as opposed to my smartphone.
All I am saying is that the difference does not jump in my face right away.

Does anyone know how well do the batteries on these A&K players hold up over long-term ownership usage?

Most Lithium-Ion batteries start really degrading after 2 years.
Would it be possible to send the device to A&K to get the battery changed or has anyone attempted that?
I would not want to pay over $3K to get a device that's usable for only 2 years...

Specs say 8-10 hours of listening, so how can 2 hours of listening get you down only 1%?
When the specs say 8-10 hours of listening, do they mean with the screen turned on?

I did it yesterday, the sound didn’t change and we now can play youtube on sp2000 throughout v-link app

When play dsd it is quite hot may be around 6 hours. I'm not test full playing dsd yet.

My sp1000cu is like this too. I can listen for a few hours and it looks like I have greater than 90%, but once it gets to 89% the percentage drops quickly disproportionate to the first 10% lost.
Once I have only 10% left, I have about 15 minutes before it's dead.
I never listen for 8-10 hours straight, and if I'm at 50% or below I'll charge it.

It is OK, normal behavior
The good thing is after one years the battery is still solid.
