The design looks the same as SP2000. If I was to take a wild guess it would be based on AK4499EX.

AK true flagship always have been AKM based.

I would say root it and your "closed" problem would be solved. I don't like that idea of messing with developer settings on a DAP though.

That said I wonder what it'll be? Dual nutubes like the N8ii + R2R?

You can root the SP1000, SP1000M and SR15 at least. I don't have the newer models to try.
