I have to say when I bought the ibasso dx220 with 3 different amp modules, and even amp 8ex the hype around it was insane, but it not did beat the sp2000 at all. Maybe we will witness another ibasso huge hype train, and will read some who might think it will beat 3k daps as Ak sp2000. AK is a tough dap to beat period. So I am this time not expecting dx300 to be a better dap than sp2000 as well, but who knows except those who own both, so I am open minded about feedback

The DX300 is huge as compared to the other DAPs. I wouldn’t think it’s as solidly built as the SP2K though.

I had to return my R8, it was defective. I do have the BX2+. Are you asking me to include the BX2+ in the chain or without?

Oh, OK. Yes, from line outs of both SP2000 and DX300, into BX2+ with a transparent HP like D8000 Pro.

I am trying to get some seasoning time on the new units, the M8 and the DX300. It is difficult to receive them so close together. I will try to post some thoughts along the process.

Wow, the DX300 is HUGE. The size alone rules it out for me, I use a DAP when going for a walk...

It is about the same height as my Note 20 Ultra but much thicker and heavier. I will say they have kept the weight down, and it is distributed well, relative to some of the other players I have.

There seems to be many sp2000 listed in the classifieds. Anyone got an theories why?

Speaking as an SP2000 owner... I'm super super happy with my SP2000, but quite honestly, if I'd known I'd be in lockdown for months, I might have instead bought a desktop DAC. I really don't need the portability at this point. So I wonder if that might be a motivating factor.

Though to be fair, these Chord DACs spank every existing DAP.

I have a dream. A lot less ambitious than MLK Jr's... I just want Rob Watts to design a Chord DAP. And to put Android and a SIM card in it

Possibly but then again the Hugo 2 is not even 70% of what the SP2000 can do.
Though we are in lockdown I do like to move from room to room so horses for courses I guess.
