The issues with no response from our global support team was discussed today in our North America team meeting and we will discuss with our global support team when they are back in the office on Monday,

As a reminder, for US/Canada customers, please contact our US support team directly rather than going through global support. Thanks. I appreciate the promise to bring the issue up to your global support team but I have seen it’s been raised many times by others in this forum in the past. I’ve never had problems contacting customer support for portable audio products from other companies until now. Reaching customer support shouldn’t be this hard but it is for A&K sadly. I’m not gonna beat it anymore and will try 1 more time and move on.

PS: I’ve sent emails to both US and global support, both non-responsive.

I wouldn't call it placebo, I think it's more an issue if anticipation. I've listened to many expensive, high end gear that I thought sounded like crap, placebo wasn't an issue. I think the perception changes too. So many times I've upgraded, and been satisfied for several months. But then your standards start to change, your ear and discernment improves, and suddenly that %5 becomes meaningful. Ironically, in a way, once I dove into audiophile portable gear, the emphasis started turning away from the music and more to the technology, and chasing that next 5 or 10% became more of a distraction. I've been trying to focus back on the music instead of obsessing over cables ear tips and my tweeters specifications.... I've been asking myself lately, where does it end?
Yeah, 8 months later and I've spent thousands on audio...

Looking for some opinions—are there any top-of-the-line DAPs right now that are considered better than the SP2000 in terms of sound quality, or is the SP2000 generally considered the best? Thanks.
SP2000 is still the best for me...in fact, I'll be selling my recently acquired LPGT...sold a WM1Z before...

Can somebody help me? I’ve had the SP2000SS for about a week and have been listening with my Campfire Andromeda 2020s, and while the detail and clarity are amazing, I can’t help but feeling the overall sound is a bit...thin. It seems like the vocals are recessed no matter what kind of music I listen to, and just not ”full” at all.

Am I doing something wrong? I don’t know if I should try EQing, or if I should stay away from EQ completely, as some people say it negatively affects the soundstage. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have the Andromeda CK Blue (v2 tuning) with SP2000Cu and thin sounding is the the very last thing I would describe SP2000, Andromeda pairing. Mine sounds incredibly full, rich, dynamic without sacrificing details, clarity etc.

Is it possible that the SS vs. Copper can make that much of a difference? I know there’s nothing wrong with the earphones or cable because they all sound fine in other equipment.

One thing I'll note is that I'm using the unbalanced output as my cable is 3.5mm terminated. Maybe in balanced Andromeda is "wider but thinner"?

What source were you using prior to SP2K? I have the SS and although I have not heard the CU I would bet there is tiny if any difference between the two.

I have both M15 and SP2000CU and with Andromeda the sp2000 is more organic and has more bass without losing detail and stage, the M15 is enjoyable but sounds thinner, but all daps that I had before sound less organic and more thinner than sp2000cu, so that's not M15 problem...
