Having said that though I admit I'm no expert. I do know that the DSR9BT headphones use something different to do the d/a conversion and they sound really good regardless of what I connect them to. But, for sure some daps b/t radio works better than others. And the effect of aptx hd and stuff bewilders me.

I'm getting some upgrades for my gear. Utopia ordered and waiting for delivery. Which is the best for the utopia. SP2000 or SP1000 and SP1000-AMP. in terms of SQ and power

Cayin N8 BB is wonderful with my Utopias  When fully run-in, Utopias are incredible. When I heard them at a hi-fi show first time (not run-in) the treble was harsh & fatiguing.

Problems I mentioned earlier persist with both Android File Transfer and Commander One Pro on Mac. Not sure if this is related to 1.22 FW update, but has only been observed since updating. The Mac (I've tried it on three different Macs) fails to recognise the SP2000. It will begin charging the SP2000, but steadfastly refuses to recognise the SP2000. Thought it might be the cable, but problem persists with other cables. Have carried out a settings reset (not complete factory reset) and completed a media rescan.

I wondered if anyone else has experienced this problem? I've since found a workround. The SP2000 needs to be turned off before you connect it to the already running computer. Turn the SP2000 on after connecting the USB-C cable. The Mac then recognises the SP2000.

My Cowon Plenue 1 had to be turned on manually before my Windows computer would see it but my Questyle QP2R and Cayin N8 BB need to be switched off for my laptop to see them.

I started to see this back with my AK 240. Since then I have always powered up the AK device (2000 and 380) prior to connecting to the PC. then the player is recognized. I did switch from Android File transfer to Commander One. I found that Commander One was a bit more stable.

Just received my ak SP2000 copper.

I’m very happy about the synergy with D8000 : clear and clean, sound is very well defined, now the problem is I hear when the records arent good quality...

Ive struggled to install the xapk from Tidal that is not recognized, so went to previous version with APK format, is there any trick to make the xapk recognized by AK SP2000?

Thanks

Vincent

Confirm you have the APK Pure XAPK Installer installed as an app on your OpenApp supported Astell&Kern player under the services menu.

If you have not installed the XAPK Installer, download XAPK Installer from this link - https://apkpure.com/xapk-installer/com.apkpure.installer

Copy to OpenService folder. Once it appears in the services menu on player, install the XAPK installer on the player like you would any other APK.

Copy the XAPK of the music service you would like to install to OpenService Folder.

Open XAPK Installer app in the services menu on the player. Choose the XAPK file you would like to install and click install.
