Hey @JasonNYC ! Any news about the next firmware release date? Roon Arc is fantastic but please: whitelist a podcast app as well!
New firmware update just released today. Do not have info on next one yet. Is there a specific podcast app you were looking for?

@JasonNYC Downloading the new firmware as I type! Fantastic news. Pocket casts is the most popular podcast app and the best as well. This is the very last thing I miss from AK. Best

Pocket Casts used to be supported, but there was an issue and support was removed if I remember correctly. I think the issue was that they changed the authentication method in the app and it required Google Play Services to be installed in order to authenticate the app. Since AK players are closed Android, they do not have Google Play installed and therefore cannot authenticate certain apps that require it. Let me confirm with the team.

@JasonNYC

When I have an issue with my device, do I reach out to the dealer, or you guys directly?

I'll try to be brief... I've been struggling for the past month or so talking with ZMF and Hart Audio Cables trying to find out why I'm getting terrible noise from the 4.4mm Line Out to the ZMF Homage via XLR. After purchasing different cables and having the amp come back from RMA, I realized I still had my old iBasso DX200 that I could test. Come to find out, it was the SE300 having the issue. DX200 was dead silent. Not sure if it's specific to my device, or it's a design issue with the 4.4mm.
@JasonNYC

Can I please get a response to this? I've reached out to A&K directly and have gotten zero response. Am I reaching out to the correct support? There's no US email listed on the site, just the HQ one and countries outside the US...

Anyone got the opportunity to compare the hugo2 + smartphone versus the SE300? I can't seem to make up my mind between the two options... I listen exclusively to metal music if that's any help :wink:

Anyone here can tell me if you are able to adjust the volume when utilizing the Line Out? I'm trying to resolve a massive noise interference issue with my device.

Support is saying that enabling Line Out locks the volume to maximum. That has never been the case for me. The volume remains adjustable when I have Line Out enabled...

Once you enable Line Out in the settings, you need to turn the volume knob. You will see a Line Out button on screen. Press that on-screen line out button to enable Line Out. This is an additional safety step to make sure you do not enable Line Out with headphones/IEMs plugged in. You must have something plugged into one of the jacks for Line Out to enable. Once Line Out is enabled, you can change the output voltage.

Oh wow. I can't believe I haven't been using Line Out this entire time. This has to be one of the most confusing daps I've ever owned... With iBasso or FiiO, you just enable the setting once and it'll give you a volume warning. Having to enable Line Out twice on the A&K feels really unintuitive.... Not to mention hiding the gain options behind a hold press of the amp setting... Definitely not my favorite UI.

Complaints aside, thank you. That fixed the issue.

The extra step was not always there. It was a requested feature after a number of people enabled Line Out by accident while using headphones and complained it was too easy to enable line out by accident.
