Astell&Kern Launches New R-2R DAP and IEMs at High End Munich 2023

I have now received my used A&K SE 300. However, I can't find a serial number on the device. It is neither printed on it nor can I find it in the settings. Is there a way to find out the serial number?
The serial number will be on outside of the box and laser-etched into the body of the player. I don't remember offhand where it is on the SE300 (it's in different places depending on the model), but I think the bottom of the player.

Thanks @agrosash and @JasonNYC. I found it at the bottom of the device on the thin silver border. And it matches the serial number on the original invoice

I recently found out you can change voltages on the line out. I've been switching between the 1V/2V and 2V/4V, but I don't notice any difference in volume or sound. Does it matter for external amps - like my Cayin HA-3A? What's the setting meant for?

@JasonNYC, do you know what the changes or improvements are?
There is a fix for the manual date issue where you cannot select past 2023 as the year. There are also a few other minor bug fixes and system optimizations I believe. I haven't see the full list.

Hi @JasonNYC ,

I would very much appreciate the following features for extending battery life in a future firmware update:

- Switching off the battery charge in USB DAC mode
- Switching off the battery charge at a predefined value (e.g. at 80%)

Both features have been available on the FiiO M17 for a long time. I would also very much welcome them on the SE 300 (which I much prefer to the M17 in terms of sound )

This feature was also requested in another player thread the other day and I passed it onto the dev team. I do not have any additional information on if or when this feature could be implemented. It currently is available on the CA1000T, so I would assume it would be able to be added to the player lines without much of an issue.

Any worthwhile improvements to the SE300 with the new FW?
I am a new owner of the SE300, have it for a few weeks, I had no issues so far... haven't done a big exploration to see what's new/ different, nevertheless it might be running a bit faster, more stable...

Hi @JasonNYC , this would be great 👍

Another related feature request is being able to change all sound related settings in USB DAC mode (NOS/OS, Class A/AB, LO voltage, equalizer). Currently USB DAC mode has to be terminated for each change.
