Yes, the sideloaded app does bypass Android resampling and does full MQA decoding.

FYI: running Roon ARC on my 8ii at and playing DSD from my collection remotely at full resolution (not without work; a bit of effort configuring my home network with port forwarding rules for my Roon core) . This app is truly game changing. I pre-ordered my SP3K and am truly hoping ARC can run on it by the time it releases!

I tried silver. I have so much black audio gear, I thought it would stand out nicely with the stainless. I have a large variety of IEMs, my main go-to's are my AK/ JH Layla Aion and my qdc Anole v14s. I am very tempted to try the AK/ Empire's!

Like you most of my gear is black. A couple of years ago I sold my SP2K and IEMs to get into more of a desktop system which is in the same room with my main 2 channel system. Selling the SP2K was a mistake that I now regret because the Woo WA5 -LE 2nd isn’t that mobile and I barely use it. I really liked the SP2K.

Im selling the Woo Amp and all my headphones except one. The plan is to keep either the Verite or LCD4. I’ll need to go out and get an IEM and is looking at the Z1R but it’s exciting to get back into a TOTL AK DAP!

Be aware that "Roon Ready" support is currently vaporware for this DAP. As someone who felt quite "burned" by past promises on this issue (still waiting on my SR15 after 4 years) just thought I would point that out. I'm sure it will get it at some point, but who knows when (likely sooner).

Also Roon ARC is not currently delivering high resolution on Android DAPs (SRC) and lacks MQA support on all platforms.... even if it gets whitelisted.

Cool. I had not seen an announcement other than pending certification in the first post:

"The SP3000 will add Roon Ready support pending completion of testing and final certification by Roon Labs."

Maybe you can understand that this didn't go well for us SE100 and SR15 owners:

Question:
Is the black on the SP3000 paint or anodised. Is this after a few years still perfect or is it gone on the edges or volume ring for example? Like the black one but maybe is the normal 904L nicer after a few years.
