Happy to report KANN Ultra will support Bluetooth 5.3.

There was an issue during the initial certification process where it was incorrectly tested and certified for Bluetooth 4.2, even though the chipset used supports up to 5.3. The player was retested and resubmitted to Bluetooth SIG group for certification through their qualification process. KANN Ultra officially received v5.3 certification overnight.

We apologize for any confusion. Under Bluetooth's licensing rules, we are prohibited from discussing pending certifications until granted, which is the reason we were not able to officially confirm this sooner.

and just like that 10 pages of hyperventilation and hysteria get deflated and all that's left is the deafening silence of a couple of former loudmouths. I'm loving it. Well done A&K!

Did you forget to add that you were not surprised by the use of BT 4.2
and you knew from the beginning of this thread that it would be BT 5.3 - a fortune teller?
Yes, this function also important for me.
This is the explanation we needed - it has been explained officially
- Thank you Astell & Kern and JasonNYC

Now, for the reviews...who will pull the trigger first? I am holding onto my M17 until that very moment...

“Loudmouths” is a little harsh considering the point of contention is a very real selling point for some. I’m glad AK has stepped up, this now looks like a tempting proposition…. Until the Kann Super comes out next year

Kann series cant compete with M17, I have one too and its a killer device. But I liked my Kann series one, which I sold, probably the best tuned Kann ever, with single AKM 4490 man what a sound was coming out... 👌

What is Bluetooth 5?

Bluetooth 5 is the latest major version of this wireless communication standard, and it boasts some significant upgrades on its predecessors, apparently offering “2x the speed, 4x the range and 8x the amount of transferable data” compared to what came before. What’s more, due to its 2Mbps bandwidth, it can support two sets of wireless devices at the same time.

Whether you can hear a difference can depend on the depth of your wallet!
