Don't think so. Tried several cables but I was unable to get any remote cables working with the Jr.
 
Also tried a bluetooth remote. It paired but navigation buttons didn't work. From what I read, only A&K's discontinued bluetooth remote might work but it's too expensive (assuming you can find one for sale).
 
In the end, I just use the nav buttons on the Jr. itself.

What's the highest impedence earbuds the AK JR can power? 300 Ohm?

After a year almost to the day, I have parted with my AK Jr.  As much as I loved it, I had a chance to listen to AK300 and Wow! Better dynamics and overall extension {mated with the Shure SE846} and a UI to die for, well, after the AK Jr, almost any UI is to die for.

  Good news everyone! AK Jr replied to my Facebook post regarding firmware update. Here is their response:

I noticed this with the AK JR UI:
 
If we long press the forward or backward button on the screen, the audio skips by 25 seconds or so. It's something like a shortcut to scroll.
 
Thought it might be useful to others that weren't aware of this feature.
