Discovered more bugs when using the AK380 and shot iriver a message:
 
"Having used the AK380 more I have encountered some bugs, detailed below. Please fix them in any future firmware updates. If they are not bugs, please advise me so, thanks!
 
1) When inside a Playlist and when the user stops scrolling for a while, three lines appear on the rightmost of a song letting the user freely arrange them in the order they wish in the Playlist.
 
This feature however, is very buggy and unreliable. A majority of times after relocating a song, the song either does not immediately appear in its new location, or other songs are unintentionally moved against the user's wish. When the song I moved does not settle into the intended location, I have a found a buggy trick to reliably get it to function properly, which involves quitting the Playlist by pressing the back arrow on the top and re-entering the Playlist, which sees the song I moved in the correct location. However, I should not have to do this to force it to behave properly. Any song should settle into the correct location without glitches. Please let me know whether this is addressed in the next firmware update. 
 
2) When manually changing songs, the player cuts out the first 0.5 seconds of the newly selected song each time. This does not happen when the player plays sequentially / in order, only when you manually select another song to play. Could this be due to a software error reading the sample rate? Please let me know how can I have perfect playback again.   
 
3) As you know there is a white battery icon that comes on when you press the power button whilst the AK380 is charging, indicating the level of the battery. However, sometimes the battery icon is completely white, which should mean full battery (100%), but after unplugging and turning the device on, it would still be stuck at 97%, or 98%. Please program the battery indicator icon to show full white only when the device is actually fully charged, thanks." 
 
 
HOPEFULLY they would get back to me and actually address these in the new firmware update.

Astell & Kern could you PLEASE fix these bugs/issues on your next firmware update for the AK380 & AK320? also could you please make your gapless feature : optional gapless and/or a overlap gapless the next incoming song? all will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Good Morning to "ALL" HEAD-FIERS, just want to share with you my experience and findings with a VERY surprising & functional memory card i bought on ebay. it is a 1TB(1024GB) memory card bought on ebay that works 100% so far with my AK320 no problems at all. it is a 1TB SD Class 10 HC memory card. bought on 2/18/16 & received on 2/22/16(today). i have loaded lots on my itunes(ALAC) music files on it with no problems, also loaded 1 album from HDtracks.com in ALAC 24/192 which took a little bit longer for the size music file. all music file playback was good with both 16/44 & 24/192 on my AK320. AK320 reads the the memory card as 0.98TB because of memory card writings & info which will be for card only and not storage. the card also comes formatted in MS-DOS(FAT32) ready for plug and play. this is a generic brand but works. will try to post picture of this card working in my ak320. any1 interested in purchase of this card pm me.

ok i upgraded to 1.23 honestly i think the eq really got improved alot

i now hear changes implemented quite better than before when using eq, and when i play around with sub bass and bass in the eq i feel there is more punch now than before, i am liking what i am hearing with this change

did anyone else notice this as well

also when using proeq i feel more punch than before , this really an interesting update

also i feel the ui is more responsive and faster

honestly now i feel that ak reads this thread or at least got some complains about the eq and they addressed as much as possible in the upgrade, well done ak
