Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000

I'm a bit concerned that @JasonNYC hasn't shown up in the thread for a week to either confirm or dispel the rumors about A&K shutting down. I really hope it's not true :disappointed_relieved:
According to rumors, they are definitely not shutting down. However, hardware design will no longer be handled by their Korea office, and UI design will be managed by Hiby. Again, these are just rumors....:triportsad:Hope this will not happen....

No, Astell&Kern is not shutting down and no, nothing AK is being managed by Hiby in the future. I understand a lot of the rumors posted here are jokes and people trying to be funny, but it is not helpful and definitely off-topic for this thread.

Our offices are closed May 1 - 6 for 3 national holidays in Korea and will reopen on May 7. There will be a delay in response from global support during this time and again does not mean AK is out of business.

Off topic, but I saw a recent AK video. PD10 related.. It seems like AK is doing away with the "product range".. eg no more Ultima, Norma, Futura etc...
Is this true? I'm asking simple because that's what the video seemed to imply..

And the firmware update is still to get released. Are you moving files between your old and new servers one by one? Or are you writing every byte of every file by hand on Notepad?
Holydays, these last days, ok, but there were just "a few" more days preceding these.

I agree with you.

I downloaded the latest Qobuz version v9.0.0.0 APK but my AK SP3000 gives only static noise if i want to play a track? Also reinstalling did not help. Back to 8.6.1.1. is okay again. Do more of you experience the same problem?

I had the same issue on my SP1000M. Rolled back for now.

100% the server update thing was an excuse. After all if some users are getting upset it’s his fault for mentioning the testing of a new fw months ago, there was no reason at all for disclosing that
