Have you looked on the Roon forum to see if this question has already been asked/answered?
First place I went. There was one query with no real solution. The roon techie figured the OP was using a vpn. Have you tried it?

Not with ARC, only in the main Roon system where it is working well. I don’t use ARC so I can’t test it for you.
Even if there is not a fix it is pretty easy to make a headphone eq in desktop roon, convert to parametric, copy the setpoints and then input them in ARC as a parametric. I’m finding I prefer the EQ’s I have done with the sp3k equalizer anyway. That way they are the same for all services even ARC.

I am using SP3000 USB with Hugo M Scaler then Hugo TT2 DAC. Sounded much better to my ears.
Thanks, so you do rate it as a worthy source for a TT2 then, which is exactly what I have in mind.

And do know if the resampling is applied (less relevant to you since you have an M Scaler)

And what cable do you use? Presumably it needs to be OTG, and there can't be many options for that?

Yes, it is worth it for me even if you don't even use M Scaler. Some of my friends also using SP3000 and TT2 without M Scaler and they are happy with them. I am using stock USB to M Scaler, dual BNC from M Scaler to TT2 from Amazon at the moment. I will get Oyaide USB and BNC when I am in Japan in a month or two.

Has anyone loaded roon arc 1.0.60 to try the new Headphone EQ option? I keep getting this….

I think it must be similar to what was experienced with the browser and login issues on Qobuz.
No issues with 1.0.60 on either the SP3000M or SP3000T. I was able to select multiple headphone profiles and no error messages. I don't have my SP3000 with me at the moment, will try it out when I can.

Maybe try deleting and reinstalling Roon Arc. I know that will erase any offline downloads that you have though.

Thanks! It must be in my network. Maybe my dns. I will try your idea on deleting it first.

LOL

It upscales your music files; does the same thing (more or less) as DAR and products like the Chord Mscaler. In theory, it provides better upscaling because it doesn't do it as the music plays, so it can analyze an entire music file at once and do better upsampling.

It requires serious hardware to run though, and the files it produces can be pretty massive, especially if you upscale to 768 kHz. Yes you can configure things like the types of filters it uses and the target sample rate.

One very nice feature if you use EQ... It can apply the EQ as it upscales, so your DAP doesn't have to.

Downside is it won't work for streaming music, this is strictly a preprocessing product; and processing a large music library can take a while. Like, several days if you have hundreds of gigabytes of music.

Does DAR work on music being streamed or is it only on music you have on SD or internal memory? When I’ve tried it I don’t really hear much difference to the music.
