Hi everyone,

I occasionally get a problem when using TIDAL on the SP3000. I'll select a song to play, it'll play for 2 seconds and then stop with an error message saying it's unable to play the file. I have to restart the entire DAP to get it to play that song again. Anyone have the same issue?

Honestly I'm not sure what it is. Fingers crossed that it stops doing that (it's only happened three times since I bought it).

Regarding some Album Art issues: I manually add high-quality album art to all my ALAC files (CD’s ripped). Sometimes when the album art is clipped or blacked out or incomplete in any way, I’ll run a media scan and usually that sorts the problems out. Can be time consuming, though, for the scan!

Did you try and upgrade your DAP to the latest firmware version? Maybe it helps? Also new Tidal versions are available with the new FW.

Hi I noticed a problem after the update/re-design of the Artist/Album category/tab. I normally sort my music through "Album Artists" and I noticed when any album is under one "album artists" but contains different "artists", the artists won't appear in the album of artist. The full album including all of the songs would still be in the "Album" category but it won't show up in the Artists category. Before the redesign, when it showed all songs of the album artist, everything within that album shows up but now it won't. I can't really describe this well so I attached some photos to give a better idea of what I mean.

Additional question, but when is the ability to sort by album year/chronological order under the artist category coming (album artists --> album year) ? It used to be in old AK DAPs/software but the new software doesn't have it.

Also, one more thing, but some album art has been cut off and appears with some black to it. It appears normal when I tap into it though. I'm assuming it's because it didn't load correctly initially? When I removed the music and changed the album art, it still loaded as the "wrong" art. I'm assuming it's because the system "memorizes" the name and art of the file so even when I get rid of it and put it back again it would still appear as the previous "memory". I tested this by changing the art and artist name and sure enough the album art loaded correctly. However, when I changed the artist name back to the original artist name, the incorrect album art popped back again.

Recommend trying a manual media scan if any album art is not displaying correctly. That usually fixes 95% of the issues. For a manual media scan - Settings -> System reset -> Initialize media scan. If you have playlists stored on the player, make sure clear playlists is unchecked.

Hello sp3000 lovers. I have a question. I don't get album covers when i transfer the albums from my laptop to the sp3000. What am i doing wrong?

AK players are very particular about reading all info from the ID3 tags. Best way to guarantee album art displays correctly is to make sure it is embedded in the ID3 tag. You could also save a jpg of the cover art in the same folder as the album. I would also recommend trying a manual media scan if any album art is not displaying correctly. Hey people, I was under the impression that A&K released an app that you could use to control the DAP from your phone. Was I dreaming??

AK Connect app for iOS or Android, but any DLNA compatible app will work. Personally I use mconnect, which I've found to be one of the best. Also used to use Sony Network Remote for Android, but it is no longer available in the Google Play Store.

Try logging out of the app and logging back in.

Roon ARC is available on the download tab in the services menu to install on the SP3000.

I still have the problem with timer settings, in particular with sleep timer.
It's "always turn on" though i set it to 10 or 30 minutes.
After i set this it is again "always turn on"
