Hello friends. When playing via AK Connect with Synology NAS, the player refused to read some files. Some reads, some skips. One time the player hung and rebooted. At the same time, the AK SP3000 plays everything. What could be the problem? DSF format.

Hi, I have just this week acquired the SP3000 and it sounds absolutely fabulous. I use it with my Diana TC and Volume around setting 100 is excellent. My dealer has proposed to use the AK PA10 as an additional DAC…what is your opinion? Is this a good pairing or superfluos?

I am tempted to get that myself… but I want to see some reviews first. With full blown headsets like yours it’s likely a fairly big difference…

Launching tomorrow… for pre order so hopefully something soon. I am either getting for my car/on the move using with an dongle and/or my DAP and the occasional time I need it for extra boost at home. The C9 I can get for about 3 times the price (new) but it’s still 3 times the price… I know it’s got more, but did I say 3 times higher cost…

I own sp2000 and sp3000. For me both daps make it difficult to live. This is gapless mode. Is it really impossible for $4000 to make it possible to listen to The dark side of the moon without interruptions between tracks???? As a result, I have to listen to all Pink Floyd and all live albums through Sony daps, which play gapless without problems. Maybe this can be improved in the future. Best regards.

I got the official AK black leather case because the aesthetics of the green case were starting to bug me (doesn't go well with my blue Eletech astute case or brown OTL cable!). Opted not to go with Dignis, just because I wanted more protection around the dial.

It's black, so there's not much to say aesthetically. It's not crazy black, it's a bit of a lighter shade of black. The leather is very smooth, not textured, and is definitely thicker than the stock case, so I presume it's a little more protective. Certainly feels high quality. It does add a bit of weight vs. the stock case, enough to be noticeable.

I suggest what I have with my Atrium.

SP3000 + C9 + Atrium.

Adding a C9 you have a Swiss Army knife portable amp (A/AB, SS/Tube, Line In/Pre Amp, Low/High gain...) and the flexibility of adding/upgrading the DAC anytime without stress about enough power.
On the other hand you also have the AK external amp option that has similar Shape as other AK DAPs
