The former owner sold Tidal a month before the article I sent earlier. And it had a huge negative influence on the subscribers, they lost many. The Atmos choice is even more laughable. When you have an option for Qobus in your country, always choose this over Tidal. The differences in sound quality are clear.
I subscribe and use both because having a variety of choices is good. Tidal sounds fine to me and I’m positive both are going to sound fine on my SP3K when it arrives.

I even know the sound and stage of my clients. I do this since I was 6 and was born with a photographic memory. I learned both what sound and music are. I can reproduce sound and stage as it sounds in real. I can read each audio product on its DNA. This means I can tell in detail which aspects/parameters of sound a product can reveal independently. I did test a few thousand products in 24 years' time. Most audio products lack one or more aspects of sound. This means that they can not reveal them.

I can give you a good example, at the last High-End audio show, there was no, I repeat no True High-End audio system due ot the fact that none of those systems could reveal all aspects of sound. So in reality it was a 100% Hi-Fi show. True High-End audio means by sound and stage that an audio system can reveal all aspects/parameters that sound possesses. But the whole trail&error system kept most people ignorant regarding sound and music. You can only understand and guide audio when you understand both sound and music.
Sorry to be a pedant but you may have an eidetic memory. True photographic memory has never been proven to actually exist.

I just looked at that album in Roon and it is in MQA on Qobuz. There are a few MQA albums on Qobuz, very little, but there are a few as those are the only digital versions of the album available from the labels. David Solomon from Qobuz has discussed this in the Qobuz Streaming Music Matters Facebook group. The SP3000 is displaying it correctly as MQA.

i had a view in “my” Qobuz and the Corea album is shown as Flac 44.1kHz 24bit, integrated in Roon in the same format.

I understand the limitations of those who do not have the option to use Qobus. I do teach all my clients to buy music. Most of my clients stream music by Qobus and use a modified Lumin L1 music server.

The problem regarding Tidal is that it is no real Hi-Res. People will say; "I can read on my streamer that it is Hi-Res". It is not about what you can read, but it is all about what it does regarding the signal it sends.

The most significant difference between Qobus and Tidal is that Qobus has more dynamics, better layering, and more resolution. Due to the fact that it is True Hi-Res audio.

But.......it is still a compressed signal that is played from drives that are far away from you. When you play a song that you bought, the data is a lot larger compared to streaming the same song at the same bit rate. And again the difference is huge regarding better dynamics, more layering, and more resolution. It makes the music experience a lot more intense and emotional.

I bought many albums on Qobus even at 16-bit 44.1 kHz. I had done many CD-rips of which the quality was good. But albums which I bought on Qobus were a lot more open and dynamic. There are even clear differences when you buy an album of an artist at the same bit rate between HD Tracks and Qobus. Again the Qubus album has more dynamics, better layering, and more resolution.

When I have received both my SP3000 and the Odin, I will do a test between Qobus streaming and the same songs I have bought and put on my new SP3000.
I’m interested to know your thoughts on downloaded hi res or 16-bit 44.1 kHz Qobuz files vs the same purchased music files from Qobuz. Theoretically there should be no difference should there?
Thanks

I can and have proven to be able to create all aspects of sound in many audio systems. All our clients own an extremely holographic 3-dimensional stage and a very analog-sounding system. Including diversity in height. I learned during a live jazz concert that voices and instruments have their own height. When we play for example Miles Davis in DSD, he plays his trumpet about 30cm higher than the used AMT tweeter. This is what we call; 'diversity in height'. It makes the experience a lot more intense and emotional.

We modify many products. What we did regarding digital audio, is sharing a lot of information with different specialists. We can adapt the sound to create more layers. So you can reveal and perceive a lot more layers. The harmonics have the biggest influence on human emotions when we listen to music. I know this since 2018, and it made me adapt to all choices we make regarding the parts we use for modifications.

When you use and imply only products that can reveal all aspects of sound, the end result is in emotion always a lot better than any incomplete trail&error systems that lack one or more aspects of sound.

The biggest lie in audio is the fact that music is not subjective but objective. Because when you make a record, voices and instruments own their particular sound which you and I can not even change. They are also very direct and small, we call this intimate sound or intimate stage. Voices and instruments also own a delimitation in space. So it becomes clear that you need an audio system that can reveal as it has been. recorded.

The emotion that the music possesses, can be found in the recording. Each audio system that can reveal all aspects of sound, will be experienced and described as more emotional and intense compared to any incomplete audio system that lacks one or more aspects of sound.

When you would start to read about sound, you will find out that even each individual aspect/parameter of sound can independently influence our emotions when we listen to our beloved music.

I've just been watching the Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000 Developer Interview (with English subtitles) -
at about 3:40 there is mention of two colour options for the volume wheel on the silver model. I didn't know this, I was just expecting the wheel to be silver same as the rest of the stainless steel sections. Has anyone with a silver SP3000 got a different colour volume wheel? I guess if there are two options, the other would probably be black?
