Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000

Unfortunately, lately, my SP3K often goes into an endless boot loop when I turn it on – it neither fully starts up nor shuts down. This can go on for hours, and sometimes I have to wait for the battery to drain completely. It's quite concerning, considering the device is almost new and running the latest firmware

Yes. South Korea has been hit by a 25% tariff on the cost of imported goods. That’s a tariff on the cost to the importer, not on the retail price. The distributor/dealers will have to decide if/how much of the 25% will be passed onto the customer. As has been said time and time again there are no winners at Tariff Wars.
As these products are being sold for a profit there is no way anyone could afford to eat a 25% increase in price without passing it on to customers. That is the problem with tariffs.

This is inaccurate thinking. Tarriffs do not work that way (not passed directly down to consumer). Historically, the consumer is the protected side in a Tariff, and never sees an increase. There are many various factors, like surplus and company adjustments, in order to avoid tariffs affecting it being less competitive, in the global market.
Unscrupulous companies may take advantage of this and temporarily artificially inflate their prices for short term gains, but eventually must remain competitive.

Historical data from Japan in the 1950s and 1960s, when it used high tariffs to protect emerging industries, show that domestic consumers paid more for goods.
So there is that.
Legendary indeed.

So the 104% tariff on imports from China that came into effect today will have no impact on consumers in the US? Please explain.

Deleted off topic discussions.
Let's get back to the units.

You don’t really have to wait until the battery drains. You can just hold the power button for like 15 seconds it will do a hard reset. It happens to all SP3000 including the M and T.

This is good to know, but it never happened to mine. So in my mind I'm instantly thinking what could be possible causes. My first suspect would be memory card files.

Yes, and now they have a thriving economy with extreme tarriffs on US goods.

The situation is way more complex than just looking at a few initial figures. You should be asking why ALL other countries protect their own economies with extreme tarriffs.
Not true at all.
For the past 30 years, Japan has been stuck in what economists call the “Lost Decades"
Never believe anything an American tells you.

Will there be a SP4000 in near future?
Kinda afraid to pull the trigger for sp3k now.

It doesn't look like the SP4000 will appear anytime soon, there aren't even any rumors about it. Same for a new flagship chip from AKM. So, it makes sense to get the SP3k now, especially if you can find it at a good price. It still remains one of the totl dap on the market.

The new firmware update finally fixes the led Color issue!!

? My SP3000 can’t find any new firmware. It would be about time to get it released.
