How can you change the keyboard (should be possible after the FW update)?

Same as you would sideload any other APK on the player.

1. Download the Gboard apk file (the most popular apk download site is apkpure.com).

2. Connect player to your PC or Mac and copy the downloaded apk file to the 'Internal Storage -> OpenService' folder.

3. Go to the services tab and install the apk file.

4. After installation is completed, Open the Gboard app and activate the keyboard and language that you want.

5. Go to 'Settings - Keyboard - Keyboard -> Manage keyboards' to select Gboard.

Yes, it does sound different but I wouldn’t describe it as brighter or sharper

It does sound different with the new FW but certainly not brighter.More musical and treble is "spicier" but soundstage width has taken a hit.All my gear sound a bit more congested/less wide.

I agree with the less width of the soundstage

It has been officially confirmed about a hundred times. FW updates never change the sound on A&K devices. And no, soundstage is definitely not less in any way with the latest FW. It's all just in your brain.

I'm going by what i'm hearing with my gears and songs that i know of,you go by the official claims if that's your thing.Even prominent reviewers talk about the fw changes in sound.

The brain is informed through the sense of hearing, I could be burned alive at the stake and still uphold that every fw updates sound different.

Regarding width soundstage, to me it is very slightly less expansive from left to right, but at the same time the sound has gained substance, it was wide because it was stretched like a transparent film, kinda thin if you ask me.
I really like the new sound, it is quite impressive and the bass is just brilliant, one thing I dislike though is that it sort of feels slow sometimes, like maybe the decay of the notes is slow, and different sections of a song flow one into the other in a slightly incoherent way.

Yeah,it's more musical,less clinical,but the width has decreased,my Stellias sound less grand,imaging and precision is same which is top ofc.I'd imagine that's how the CU sounds with even more warmth.

Anyone having issues connecting to ROON Arc since the latest software update. I can no longer connect, I cannot even login, just the spinning circle of death. I have removed and installed, I have done a factory reset, Roon Arc no longer connects.

Anyway to downgrade software?

Did you try restarting your Roon Core? I have this problem a lot on my Samsung S23 Ultra with Roon Arc. Sometimes a core reboot works, sometimes it just randomly starts working again a day or two later. Doesn't matter if I am on mobile or on the same wifi network.

Try going to roon settings and arc. Make sure it is reachable. Roon recently changed the core to a server and there have been some issues. Mine has been pretty rock solid.

Yes please. I do listen to QQ music a fair bit and the AK SE300 and SP3K Cu get less air time now because of the changes made requiring a mainland China mobile no if you do not have a WeChat or QQ app also installed on the same DAP. The latter don't require a mainland no to log in...

When I read these things after the release of an update, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
my SP3000 sounds exactly the same, therefore fantastic even after the latest update.
