Do they sound more like a portapro or a sr-60? I hate the shrill, piercing highs of the sr-60, but the portapro has too much bass

They are good but they don't offer the bass that portapro or sr60 offered.
Pk2 lean toward treble. It extended far beyond sr60 and portapro. But doesn't cause any sibilant (at least for me)
The mid is not forward or recess. But may sound a bit dry and thin for some people.
The bass is there but it doesn't extend very low, only some upper and mid bass that they can offer.
An Amp and a ohm adapter can help on this one.
The sound stage is very wide comparing to other earbud.
 
To answer the question. It doesn't sound like portapro or sr60.
But if I have to choose between the two I would say sr60.
